Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Maritime Electronic & Information Warfare Operating Unit specializes in the development, manufacture, assembly, testing, and sustainment of key Electronic Warfare Sensors. We are seeking a Program Management Senior Director to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. This position will be located in Baltimore, MD.
The Program Management Senior Director is responsible for the Maritime Electronic & Information Warfare Operating Unit which includes the Surface Electronic Warfare Improvement Block 3, Scaled Onboard Electronic Attack, and Long Endurance Electronic Decoy programs. The position has P&L responsibility for management, strategy, and execution including establishing a strong trajectory for growing the business. This position reports to the VP, Land & Maritime Sensors Business Unit.
Responsibilities include:
Leads and directs cross-functional teams to meet program cost, schedule and technical performance objectives in a matrix organizational environment
Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, risk/opportunity management, identifies program problems and obtains solutions
Identifying, allocating and managing program resources, including workforce planning
Creates a positive employee experience for the employees assigned to the operating unit by focusing on retention initiatives and supporting professional development
Delivers presentations to customers, executive management and other program stakeholders
Cultivates customer relationships and intimacy to develop further opportunities within the customer community
Develops business area strategies and new business opportunities that are consistent with Division/ Sector priorities to drive consistent growth for the operating area
Participates in the negotiation of contracts, contract changes, specifications, operating budgets, schedule milestones, and key terms and conditions.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 12 or more years of program management or related experience; OR Master's degree with 10 or more years of program management or related experience
Expertise in program execution to lead the performance of tasks on schedule and at cost on Development and Production programs
Capture and Proposal management experience
Proven success in leading and influencing individuals and teams in a matrix environment
Demonstrated ability to foster existing customer relationships and develop new customer relationships
Strong communication and executive presence skills to effectively interact with customer and senior leadership
Experience supporting US Government sensor programs (Radar, EW, EO/IR)
Must be a US citizen with an active US Government Secret Clearance and ability to obtain special access clearances required; OR DoE equivalent and ability to obtain special access clearances required
Exceptional communication, collaboration and executive presence skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in engineering and/or business administration

8 or more years leading high volume production programs, development programs or technical teams (engineering management, functional management)
Demonstrated knowledge of strategic planning and new business development

Primary Level Salary Range: $254,200.00 - $381,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
