Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer/Principal Systems Engineer to join its team in Roy, UT and will support the business portfolio for the Strategic Deterrent Systems Division which includes the Sentinel program, Minuteman III programs and related business development.
What you will get to do:
As a process development engineer and process change facilitator, the qualified applicant will assist in the development of an integrated, multi-dimensional, and maintainable process model, focusing on Engineering processes but also supporting other functional areas related to program execution (Program Management, Quality, Supply Chain, Production, Logistics, Business Management, etc.).

This role will focus on modeling Design Engineering processes, which include Product Design Package (PDP) development, parts selection, design analyses, Parts Material & Process (PM&P) etc.
Responsibilities include:
Develop Process Flows
Create and release standard processes into the modeling tool in the form of process maps, architectures, diagrams, resources, storyboards, landing pages, etc.
Integrating cross-functional processes covering the entire program lifecycle
Decomposing & sequencing activities, de-conflicting process overlaps, and developing new content to fill process gaps
Identifying giver/receiver artifacts and deliverables
Clarifying roles and associating process aids
Communicating with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), functional teams, and other stakeholder organizations to ensure process intent, best practices, and lessons learned are captured
Supporting process modeling tool administration
Supporting program deployments of the process model to ensure the process needs of programs are being met
Tailoring standard processes according to unique program requirements
Facilitating the application of controlled changes and configuration management on program-tailored process models
Applying program model updates resulting from standard process changes
This position requires a detail-oriented candidate with natural process acumen (i.e., 'wired' to think in terms of process) and the ability to:

Basic Qualifications:
This position may be hired at the System Engineer or Principal Systems Engineer levels depending upon applicant qualifications.
Systems Engineer (level 2):
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of experience.
Must be a US Citizen with an ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.
1 year of experience in process development work
1 year of experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Principal Systems Engineer (level 3):
Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, software engineering discipline or other STEM field of study or a master's degree and 5 years of related experience master's degree with 3 years. PhD with 1 year.
Must be a US Citizen with an ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.
3 years of experience in process development work
3 years of experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent interpersonal skills
Experience with architecture modeling
Experience with process analysis, gap analysis, and solution generation
Experience in working with cross-disciplined teams and stakeholders
Experience in a breadth of related cross-functional disciplines
Experience in process authoring, mapping, modeling and auditing
Experience in Universal Process Notation (UPN) or Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN), or SysML modeling languages
Process modeling experience with TIBCO Nimbus tool or similar software
Active DoD Secret clearance with ability to achieve Top Secret Clearance
Experience working on or with the Sentinel/GBSD program

This position's standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
