The Proposal Coordinator works across all NGUKL customer accounts and is responsible for providing operational assistance to the wider BD, Capture and Bid teams, with specific focus on proposal management, competitive and market intelligence and system reporting and maintenance.
You will work across all NGUKL customer accounts including next generation Air Force, cyber security, ISR, Communications, Radar and Command and Control, ranging from small study or research openings to significant size and scale multi-£m, multi-year deals.

Role & Key Responsibilities
Drive the ultimate generation of non-complex proposals, outlining the proposal structure, setting the schedule and allocation of section / contribution responsibilities to the relevant subject matter expert
Manage the proposal team contributions / inputs as appropriate to establish a competitive and ultimately market differentiating proposal
Continuously monitor progress and content of inputs to ensure that the RFP requirements are being suitably answered, the content is of suitable quality and coherence across the submission
Research and analyse historical data and project experience to support proposal efforts
Ensure compliance with the business acquisition process
Manage the key in-process proposal submission reviews to ensure that our offer is suitably and independently reviewed and challenged to ensure it best represents our offer, our approach and our capabilities
Coordinate the production and appropriate storage of Market, Competitor and Strategic Intelligence.
Data collection and analysis: Gather data on customer behaviour, sales trends, marketing campaign effectiveness, and competitor activities from various sources.
Market research: Plan and conduct market research to identify changes, forecast trends, and understand the competitive landscape.
Reporting and insights: Analyse statistical and economic data, create and develop detailed reports.
Strategic support: Provide data-backed insights to inform marketing strategies, product launches, and pricing decisions.
Competitive intelligence: Monitor competitor activities, analyse their business models, and assess the company's competitive position.
Working with the Head of Bids, champion a theme of collaboration, improvement and best practice utilising the tools and processes contained within the IMS.
Support with clear and concise reporting from all systems (e.g.Salesforce, SAP) on a regular basis, including ensuring validity of data contained within these systems.
Support other functions, systems and tools within the BD team as and when required, e.g. incoming portal alerts, graphic design, writing, lessons learnt tracker, content library etc.
General Operational duties
Attend Business Development and other functional department meetings as required
Remain compliant with all applicable NGUKL / Command Media Processes and procedures

Essential Qualifications/Experience
Experience of operating within the constraints of formal tendering processes, using procurement portals such as Award and Bravo
Clear demonstrable experience in product and service bid documentation
Experienced in the creation and delivery of clear and concise progress reporting
Experience in government or defence sectors
Experience in research and data collection and analysis
Competency/Skill requirements
Attention to detail and an ability to work under pressure and to demanding deadlines
Proven ability in planning, producing and delivering compliant proposal documents.
Adept at problem-solving
Excellent interpersonal skills, able to engage effectively with all audiences/stakeholders
Proactive team worker, with an engaging and 'can do' attitude
Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Exceptional attention to detail
Thrives in a dynamic and challenging environment
Proficient MS Office user
Fluent in written and spoken English
Other requirements
Travel requirements: some national travel may be required to attend team and customer meetings and training activities. Occasional international travel may be required
Clearance requirements: Must be able to gain and maintain UK Government clearances
Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required
Valid UK driving licence and passport holder
