Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking an experienced Principal Project Manager/Sr. Principal Project Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA or Clearfield, UT.
Note: This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports. Due to the classified nature of the work being performed, this position does not offer any virtual or telecommute working options. This role can be filled at either level.
This position is for the role of Infrastructure Project Manager across multiple sites. The selected candidate will be part of a diverse organization within the Strike Infrastructure & Capacity Expansion Team. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing an array of average to complex projects related to any of the following: seating capacity expansion, building construction, Cost Center readiness, and more. Candidate will perform as the primary liaison/facilitator and Project Manager for multiple projects, simultaneously, and will do so while working closely with Program Management, Integrated Product Team (IPT) representatives, and leadership, as well as Manufacturing Operations, Facilities, IT, Security, and other organizations, and possibly other Programs, as applicable to the particular project. Most projects will require the selected candidate to coordinate with stakeholders to author and receive approval of requirements document.
Use of Gantt, PERT, and/or MS Project will be required to manage the project. The selected candidate will also communicate status of projects to leadership, proactively identify and communicate risks, expeditiously work issues, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to manage expectations.
Basic Qualifications for Principal Project Manager:
Must have 5 years of relevant experience with bachelor's degree OR 3 years of relevant experience with master's degree OR 1 year of relevant experience with Ph.D.
Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Experience with Microsoft Office tool suite; Project, PowerPoint, Word, and/or Excel
Experience with developing PERT and Gantt charts
Experience integrating across multiple teams and functions

Experience with Share Point
Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Project Manager:
Must have 8 years of relevant experience with bachelor's degree OR 6 years of relevant experience with master's degree OR 4 years of relevant experience with Ph.D.

Primary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $141,200.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $101,400.00 - $176,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
