Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal / Sr. Principal Product Trainer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in Melbourne, FL. supporting the BATTS program. The role will support the Maintenance Courseware training devices and courseware development. This position is fully onsite with no remote work available.

Essential Functions
Experience leading teams through Instructional System Design (ISD) process. Generating training artifacts to support courseware design, development and delivery. Candidates with experience performing Front End Analysis (FEA), Training System Requirements Analysis (TSRA), and/or having served as instructors at a formal maintenance schoolhouse (e.g. AETC) are preferred. Candidates are expected to support, build, and promote a positive and collaborative culture across all teams while developing and maintaining expert level knowledge. Candidates must be able to work independently in a deadline-oriented environment and must possess strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
Plans, develops, and coordinates in-house product training programs for Field Training Detachment and Customers. Obtains information needed to prepare in-house training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids. Develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. May support oversite of suppliers and supplier materials.
Job Duties:

Provide a comprehensive analysis of the manpower, personnel, training, acquisition, development, and sustainment requirements for all Airforce maintainer rates.

Perform formalized Instructional System Design (ISD) analyses, including but not limited to, Front End Analysis (FEA), Baseline Comparison System (BCS) analysis, Job, Duty, Task Analysis (JDTA), Mission Task Analysis (MTA), and Training System Requirements Analysis (TSRA). Task analysis will cover O, I and D level maintenance tasks, including planned maintenance, corrective maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Develops training curriculum, course of study outlines, and orientation materials to be employed during procedures-based maintenance training.

Demonstrate and use effective training analysis, project management, course development, and evaluation skills.

Create templates, maintain processes and provides training on instructional systems design best practices including but not limited to storyboards, lesson design documents, logic diagrams and courseware artifacts.

Develop instruction materials - self-paced guides, case studies, job aids, evaluations, instructor guides, student guides, and scenario-based course outlines.

Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify specific training needs and develop solutions for satisfying unique skills-based training requirements.

Support and provide guidance for training suppliers

Use ISD current Learning Theory to solve complex learning and performance problems

Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify specific training needs and develop solutions for satisfying unique skills-based training requirements

Provide input to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date

Support the development of criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities

Oversee and report status of Northrop Grumman program supplier responsible for development of training system contractual requirements

Conducts quality review of materials

Participation in working groups to ensure course goals are being implemented in all aspects of courseware including software needs, device requirements, and evaluation measures

Primary oversight of Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL) documentation.

Basic Qualifications Principal Product Trainer:

Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of military and/or professional leadership experience OR Master's Degree with 3 years of experience OR PhD with 1 year of experience.

3 or more years of hands-on Instructional/ team leadership experience

Ability to obtain and maintain government final Secret Clearance.

Must have ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Must have working knowledge of customer compliance documents, government instructions, and government standards

CDRL reviews, submissions, and approval

ISD template generation, implementation, and training

Review ISD manuals and reference material to reinforce process for courseware development

Provide support, input, and direction to teams

Document process, refine, and continue to evaluate efficiencies

Collaborate with Chief Product Owner and Release Train Engineer to deliver quality training products

Basic Qualifications Sr. Principal Product Trainer:

Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of military and/or professional leadership experience OR Master's Degree with 6 years of experience OR PhD with 4 years of experience.

5 or more years of hands-on Instructional/ team leadership experience

Ability to obtain and maintain government final Secret Clearance.

Must have ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Must have working knowledge of customer compliance documents, government instructions, and government standards.

CDRL owner responsible for approvals and contract closure

ISD subject matter expert; reinforces training guidelines, templates, and drives process

Guide internal team execution and ISD process across the Agile Release Train driving development of new concepts, techniques and standards

Consultant to management and serves as external spokesperson for the organization on ISD process and execution

Develops solutions to complex problems with the use of ingenuity and innovation; consistent with organization objectives

Preferred Qualifications:

Must have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.

Active government Final Secret Clearance.

Airforce Aviation Maintenance background

Bachelor's or master's degree in Instructional Design, or similar fieldExperience in task analysis procedures and training systems products

Design and development of curriculum for advanced technologies

Experience using courseware development tools - LCMS and LMS

Familiarity with Microsoft Office products

Working knowledge of customer compliance documents, government instructions and government standards

Primary Level Salary Range: $73,900.00 - $110,900.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $92,200.00 - $138,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
