Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Cell's Kit Planning Team as a Principal Manufacturing Analyst based out of Baltimore, MD.
You will support production, business, and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment. Performs activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including production planning and control, total quality management, systems, manufacturing, scheduling, material management, and process reengineering. You may facilitate self-directed work teams, provide training in core skill areas to teams and peers, and interact with internal and external customers with respect to product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement. You are generally experienced in one or more areas of manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities include:
Plans, organizes, and controls the timely flow of product through the SMT Manufacturing Cell to support both internal and external customer delivery requirements.
Collaborates with Operations (OPM) teams, Production Control team, Cell Management and Engineers, Material Control Specialists, Supply Chain, and other internal stakeholders daily to facilitate the conversion and release of orders to SMT Manufacturing.
Analyzes material inventory using SAP and drives resolution of shortages with Factory Supply Chain, and the Baltimore Logistics Center.
Performs detailed review of Order routing information in SAP and works with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Programs to address discrepancies.
Manages the assignment, documentation, and timely closure of action items.
Presents Kit status updates to Program Management teams and SMT Cell Management Weekly.
Utilizes SAP, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Teams, and SharePoint to track progress of Planned Order conversions and Production Kits in process.
Maintains Reports and Metrics, i.e., Aging Orders, and Overdue hours, 'Confirmed not Delivered' orders, floor stock inventory control, and the resolution of material shortages as they relate to open production orders.
Must be organized and have strong analytical, problem resolution, and process improvement skills
Must be comfortable presenting to and communicating with internal customers, as well as working in cross-functional teams.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience; Master's degree and 3 years of relevant experience
Experience with SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Project, and Power Point
The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance is required
U.S. Citizen required
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience in one or more areas: Inventory Management, Production Control, MRP, Operations, Supply Chain

Primary Level Salary Range: $89,900.00 - $134,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
