This position will be located in Huntsville, AL.
The Principal Engineer Mission Assurance will support multiple FMS IBCS programs. The selected candidate will perform the following:
What you will get to do:

Perform technical reviews of drawings, SOWs, Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) documents as required
Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place for meeting contractual requirements
Provide QMA support for preparation of presentation material, review of documentation, sign-off on technical review materials and readiness, attendance at meetings, and support to closeout of review action items
Develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses
Participate in Risk Management process and support to team in identification and assessment of risks or opportunities for program performance
Develop, modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished products
Support/Lead hardware control to Bill of Materials (BOM), First Article Inspections, close-out and delivery inspections and control of end item data packages
Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) facilitation, review and reporting to include monitoring status of corrective and preventive actions and tracking through closure, reviewing/analyzing defect data, monitoring test problem report data and closure status, monitoring causal analysis and resolution
Conduct/support internal process and external supplier evaluations and develop reports
Assist Program Quality Managers with Mission Assurance / Program Management requirements
Support fielded major end items (MEI) integration of hardware/software as needed
Prepare and/or present data in management-level presentations
Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Science AND 5 years of related experience in at least one of the following areas: Engineering, Production/Manufacturing, Mission Assurance and/or Quality Assurance OR a Master's degree AND 3 years of related experience in at least one of the following areas: Engineering, Production/Manufacturing, Mission Assurance and/or Quality Assurance
Ability to read documentation such as contractual standards, program plans, statements of work, and requirements

Experience with ISO9001, and/or AS9100 industry standards
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DOD Security Clearance
Must be able to work on-site in Huntsville, Alabama
Preferred Qualifications:

Dedicated to teamwork and be able to work well in a team environment
ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 trained auditor
Familiar with AS9102 and AS6500
Active DOD Secret Security Clearance
Experience working with military or government contracts
Primary Level Salary Range: $98,900.00 - $148,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
