Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for a Principal Engineer Metrology (Electrical) located in Woodland Hills, CA.
What you'll get to do:
Properly evaluate and interpret engineering models, engineering GD&T intent, and calibration results.
Manage daily metrology workflow to drive efficiency and optimal resource utilization.
Develop solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovative thinking.
Perform measurements and data post processing using portable metrology systems such as Oscilloscopes, Power supplies, Multimeters, decade boxes, synchro resolvers, electrical calibrators, and frequency counters.
Serve as the main metrology interface between engineering and metrology technicians.
The ideal candidate must be familiar with accredited calibration requirements such as: Z540-1, Z540-3 and 17025AC.
Basic Qualifications for the Principal Engineer Metrology (Electrical):
Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) and 5 years of experience, or Masters in STEM and 3 years of experience.
Experience using metrology equipment (eg Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Conditioner, Calibrators, frequency counters, Multi product calibrator, temperature sensors, etc..)
Experience with Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
Experience interpreting engineering drawings and models.
Experience with automated calibration system such as Surecal or Metcal.
U.S. Citizenship required
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience performing metrology evaluations, calibration and data interpretation of RF calibration, Thermal Cycling, TVAC, and Humidity.
Experience with Gidep or Mfr manual procedures.
Experience with tooling and fixtures
Experience with electrical metrology equipment.
* Experience with National instruments Interface/Calibration Software.

Primary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
