Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Principal Cyber Systems Network Engineer (Level 3) OR Sr. Principal Cyber Systems Network Engineer (Level 4) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Test & Evaluation organization in Melbourne, FL.
As the Cyber Systems Network Engineer, you will support the design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure for our organization. This role involves assisting in the network architecting of new constructions, managing inter-site network transport, and integrating test station systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with virtual networking technologies, firewalls, and quality of service, as well as proficiency with Cisco and DELL switches and routers. This position requires a strong understanding of dynamic routing protocols and multicast traffic management.

Key Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Assist in the design and implementation of network architecture for new construction projects, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
Support inter-site network transport solutions to facilitate reliable communication between multiple locations.
Integrate test station systems into existing network infrastructure, ensuring compatibility and performance.
Configure and manage NSX for virtual networking to enhance network flexibility and security.
Implement and maintain firewall configurations to protect network resources from unauthorized access and threats.
Monitor and optimize network performance, focusing on quality of service (QoS) to prioritize critical traffic.
Configure and troubleshoot Cisco and DELL switches and routers to ensure reliable network operations.
Collaborate with team members to implement and manage dynamic routing protocols, specifically OSPF, for efficient network routing.
Manage multicast traffic and configurations to support various applications and services across the network.
Document network configurations, processes, and best practices to maintain a comprehensive knowledge base.
Basic Qualifications:
This requisition may be filled at a Principal Cyber Systems Network Engineer (Level 3) OR Sr. Principal Cyber Systems Network Engineer (Level 4) level based on the qualifications below.
Principal Cyber Systems Network Engineer (Level 3)
Must have a Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 5 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Master's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 3 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Ph.D. in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 1 year of related professional/military experience.
Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance (DoD must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.
Ability and willingness to support alternate work schedules, weekends, extended work weeks and travel (~10%) to support program activities and integration.
Must possess a current DoD 8570 Level 2 Certification (i.e. Security+ CE or equivalent).
Sr. Principal Cyber Systems Network Engineer (Level 4)
Must have a Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 8 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Master's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 6 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Ph.D. in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 4 years of related professional/military experience.
Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance (DoD must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.
Ability and willingness to support alternate work schedules, weekends, extended work weeks and travel (~10%) to support program activities and integration.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in network engineering or a related field with a strong understanding of networking concepts.
Proficiency in configuring and managing firewalls, switches, and routers, particularly from Cisco and DELL.
Familiarity with virtual networking technologies, specifically NSX, and their integration into existing infrastructures.
Knowledge of dynamic routing protocols, particularly OSPF, and experience in configuring and troubleshooting them.
Understanding of quality of service (QoS) principles and their application in network environments.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently within a collaborative team environment.

Primary Level Salary Range: $108,200.00 - $162,400.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $135,000.00 - $202,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
