Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Principal Contract Administrator based out of Linthicum, MD. This is an onsite position that offers the 9/80 schedule.
What You'll Get to Do:
The Principal Contract Administrator will support Multi-role Electronically Scanned Array (MESA) and AWACS programs as part of the Airborne Battle Management Operating Unit in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
The Principal Contract Administrator will serve as the primary contact with our customers and will be responsible for performing a full range of contract functions for government contracting. In addition to contract administration of established contracts, the position will also support various new business proposals and ROMs, both competitive and sole-source.

Responsibilities:

Administer, extend, negotiate and complete closeout of standard and nonstandard contracts.

Conduct proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.

Advise management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information.

Facilitate review of new contract awards and mods, and supports contract and sales order set-up

Manage all contractual direction and communication with customers

Advise internal teams on markings requirements and data rights for customer data deliverables to protect company intellectual property

Monitor contract requirements and associated program funding and deliverables to ensure that contractual obligations are communicated, understood, and followed

Ensure compliance with company procedures and government regulations

Maintain a positive relationship with internal and external customer

The successful candidate will have strong oral and written communication skills, business acumen, the ability to maintain strong working rapport with internal and external customers, strong problem-solving skills, the ability to be flexible and change directions when needed, and be very detail oriented.
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with 5 years of professional experience - OR - Master's degree with 3 years of professional experience.

Knowledge of FAR/DFARS

Experience in U.S. Government Department of War contract administration/management or related function such as supply chain, subcontracts, finance, etc.

Will consider an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of degree.

Experience with MS Office Suite

The ability to obtain and maintain a DoW Secret security clearance

U.S. Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in contract administration in a cost plus fixed fee and cost plus incentive fee environment

Experience using business, accounting, and financial systems (i.e. SAP)

Current, active DoW Secret security clearance.

Primary Level Salary Range: $89,900.00 - $134,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
