Our M&P team works independently but interacts constantly with other engineering groups and customers to achieve expectations. The selected candidate will work in a team environment with other engineering organizations performing manufacturing floor support, test plan execution, and other duties as required.
Note: This position can be filled with a level 3 Material and Process Technician or a level 4 Material and Process Technician.
Job Description:
We are seeking highly motivated individuals with experience in composite structures and assemblies
Successful candidates will be considered subject matter experts and responsible for developing and implementing complex composite components and assemblies using a wide range of materials and processes
Direct the safe execution of tasks required to support manufacturing production
Proficient with interpretation of Engineering models / drawings
Material handling & preparation (storage, thawing, cutting, kitting, inventory, traceability, etc.)
Use of chemicals with proper PPE
Expert with SMI (Standard Measuring Instruments)
Design and fabricate complex production aids
Execute Work Orders / Project assignments
Promote corrective actions and process improvements
Promote cost improvement initiatives
Review procedures for accuracy and completeness
Basic Qualifications for Materials and Process (M&P) Engineering Technician Level 3:
High school diploma with 4 years of related composites aerospace manufacturing experience
In depth knowledge and proficiency with composite materials and manufacturing processes
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance (DoD must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company
Possess excellent problem-solving skills as well as demonstrated experience in leadership of teams in resolving complex manufacturing issues
Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Demonstrated ability to lead effectively and mentor less experienced technicians
Highly regarded by management and peers for composite knowledge and expertise
Basic Qualifications for Materials and Process (M&P) Engineering Technician Level 4:
High school diploma with 6 years of related composites aerospace manufacturing experience
In depth knowledge and proficiency with composite materials and manufacturing processes
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance (DoD must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company

SME (Subject Matter Expert) of Composite material and manufacturing technologies (including bonded and fastened assembly methods) experience

Primary Level Salary Range: $57,500.00 - $95,900.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $68,300.00 - $113,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
