Northrop Grumman Australia is seeking a dynamic Business Development (BD) Manager to drive strategic growth and support pursuits aligned with our Australian Strategy.
This role focuses primarily on Mission Systems and Defence Systems activities, working closely with Northrop Grumman Business Sectors and NG Australia to shape solutions that meet customer needs and deliver long-term success.

Coordinate customer and industry engagement to understand needs and shape feasible solutions.
Build and maintain strong relationships across Defence, industry partners, and internal stakeholders.
Support development and execution of capture strategies aligned to NG Australia's priorities.
Guide teams in preparing for client engagements, presentations and gate reviews.
Participate in campaign planning, competitive assessments, black-hat reviews and market research.
Manage opportunity pipelines using Salesforce (CRM) to track and report progress.
Contribute to proposal development, ensuring alignment with schedule, quality and strategic objectives.
About You:
You are a strategic thinker with deep Defence experience and the ability to influence, collaborate and operate in complex environments. You thrive on building long-term partnerships, navigating Defence acquisition processes, and shaping opportunities that deliver impactful outcomes.

Extensive experience in the Australian Defence maritime or mission systems environment.
Strong understanding of Defence capability development and government acquisition frameworks.
Proven experience in business development or capture management within Defence or related sectors.
Broad knowledge of end-user missions, competitive landscape, and customer requirements
Strong understanding of U.S. and international government acquisition processes.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
Proven ability to identify opportunities and guide bid/no-bid decisions.
Exceptional communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams and manage diverse stakeholder needs.
Experience conducting market research, competitive analysis and campaign planning.
Ability to obtain and maintain an AGSVA security clearance (Secret or above).
