Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) sector has an opening for a Supplier Quality Manager 3 supporting the Navigation, Intelligence, and Connectivity Division . This position can be based in either San Diego, CA or Baltimore, MD.
What You Will Get To Do:
The Supplier Quality Manager will be the Division lead for the Networking, Intelligence, and Connectivity Division. Direct reports include 3 Supplier Quality Managers located in Cincinnati, Woodland Hills, and San Diego and 2 Staff Supplier Quality Engineers.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Responsible for Supplier Quality risk management for the NIC Division
Leads and mentors Supplier Quality Managers and Engineers (SQEs)
Ability to effectively engage, communicate and develop strong business relationships with all levels of leadership and professionals within the supplier(s) organization, internal customers and stakeholders to coordinate and partner on improvement programs/actions to achieve and sustain high levels of performance
Assures supplier process and product quality, including contractual, regulatory, and technical compliance
Develops Supplier Management Plans (SMPs)
Conducts product and process verification activities, monitors supplier quality performance, and drives root cause corrective action analysis for supplier quality issues
Keeps leadership apprised of supplier performance, quality status, and risks
Actively engages in supplier evaluation, qualification and selection as part of the Business Acquisition Process (BAP) and as new procurements are required on existing programs

Manages implementation of Supplier Quality processes, including supplier approval activities, supplier product readiness reviews (SPRRs), source selection evaluations, supplier segmentation (Strategic, Critical, Transactional), development and execution of supplier quality risk assessments and mitigation plans, and supplier quality requirements development and flow-downs
Defines supplier segmentation strategies for critical, key, and high-risk suppliers
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 9+ years of relevant experience OR a Master's Degree and 7+ years of relevant experience
Experience leading and managing supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products and services
5+ years of experience as team lead and/or manager of people including working in a cross-functional environment
Experience working with engineering, manufacturing, and program management
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
U.S. citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in managing a broad range of suppliers including providers of complex components/assemblies/systems, services, and commodities
Experience with source selection evaluations, supplier classification designation
Ability to assess a supplier's factory operational model and walk a manufacturing line/process
Experience in conducting Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis and related evaluation tools/processes
SAP Business System experience
Familiarity with ISO 9001/AS9100 Quality Management System certification process
3+ years of leadership experience in disciplines such as quality, program
Excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication, leadership, and mentoring skills and confidence to brief upper management
Defense Industry experience as a Program or Project Manager, Quality Manager, Supplier Quality Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Engineering Manager or Manufacturing Management
Current, active Secret Clearance, or higher.

Primary Level Salary Range: $167,500.00 - $263,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
