Start your future with a new mission, Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems sector is hiring a Mission Assurance Manager 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals supporting the Rolling Meadows facility's Software Development Programs (SDP) Operating Unit in the Aircraft Survivability (ACS) Business Unity. The Mission Assurance Manager 2 has responsibility for quality requirements across the program portfolio by providing leadership and management to assigned personnel. This leadership opportunity will be located in Rolling Meadows, IL.

What You'll Get To Do:
Functional manager of OU program quality engineering professionals across the OU.
Responsible for the project performance planning, risk management, technical quality, cost, schedule and factory accountability.
Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product.
Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is aligned with requirements.
Act with agility to business needs and interact in collaborative way to empower diverse, cross functional teams, including both internal and external members to achieve positive business results, including operating decisions, scheduling requirements and contractual clarification.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 8 years of experience OR a Masters Degree and 6 years of experience
Experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action
Experience working on new development programs
Experience with BOE Generation
Active DoD Secret security clearance, with the ability to achieve DoD Top Secret security clearance and gain Special Access Program (SAP) Clearances
US Citizenship Required
Preferred Qualifications:
5 years of prior management/leadership experience.
Experience with quality policies, procedures, governmental regulations and workflow
NG Quality Management System experience (Principles and Operating. Practices, ISO 9001, AS9100, and customer FAR & DFAR requirements).
Experience with customer interactions, including DCMA
Financial planning, budgeting, and earned value experience for both proposals and program execution.
Defense Industry experience as a Program or Project Manager, Quality Manager, Engineering Manager, or Manufacturing Manager.
* Lean/Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification with experience to drive continuous improvement.
Primary Level Salary Range: $139,800.00 - $209,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
