Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector, Command and Control & Weapons Integration Division (CWI), Global C2 Solutions Business Unit (BU) is seeking a Manager, Contract Administration 1, to join our team. This position will support a variety of programs in the Global Situational Awareness (GSA) and Strategic/Nuclear (SNC2) Business Areas in the Strategic & Mobile C2 Operating Unit (OU) and will report to the OU Contracts Manager. The programs are fast paced / dynamic and involve a significant amount of proposal work.
This position can be based in Huntsville, AL; Linthicum, MD; Beavercreek, OH; Warner Robins, GA; Orlando, FL; or Lake Charles, LA. Remote work considered for the right candidate.
This management position will lead a contracts team responsible for shaping acquisitions, proposal development, negotiations, contracts administration, and contract closeout, while ensuring all work products are compliant with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. This position will require an understanding of terms and conditions and the ability to negotiate all types of contractual instruments and agreements. The successful candidate will work closely with the PMO Director, Program Managers, Business Management, GSC, Legal, and other functional teams as necessary, and provide guidance and direction based upon the requirements of the contracts. The successful candidate must have strong leadership and interpersonal skills and be a strategic thinker.

Responsibilities of the Contracts Manager include:
Leading, training, oversight, and mentoring a team of contracts professionals
Interfacing with management regarding contractual matters
Advising management of contractual rights and obligations
Developing solutions to complex management, contracts, and pricing concerns
Identifying, developing, and recommending risk mitigation strategies
Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
Executing quarterly performance evaluations
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience working in Contracts Administration or related field or 3+ years of experience with a Master's Degree. Additional 4 years experience in lieu of degree.
Demonstrated knowledge of Contracts Administration in a FAR/DFARS environment.
Experience negotiating and administering various contract types of varying sizes and various types of agreements.
Strong proposal development skills, solid negotiation skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize, pivot, and effectively manage shifting priorities.
Ability to interface with all levels of employees and management.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Background in DoD contracting, prior experience with the USG and/or major defense contractor customers
Experience in redlining and negotiating a diverse range of complex contracts.
Demonstrated 1+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
Current DoD Secret clearance is a plus.
* MBA or JD is a plus but is not required.
Primary Level Salary Range: $92,600.00 - $153,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
