In this role you will play a pivotal role in driving laboratory effectiveness and innovation. You will contribute to the design and preparation of laboratory environments, assist in test planning, and coordinate testing schedules. Your expertise will ensure that test stations and assets are fully operational, as you will deploy software and configure hardware for optimal testing. Collaboration will be key, as you work alongside Quality Assurance to validate and maintain test station integrity. Additionally, you will participate in test readiness reviews and integration events, ensuring rigorous standards are met. Key Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Oversee and maintain precise documentation of lab configurations, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and system specifications
Actively participate in the planning and execution of major testing events, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define test objectives and protocols.
Regularly provide updates on lab status, including equipment readiness, ongoing projects, and any potential delays or issues.
Troubleshoot component and system level issues/discrepancies
Perform Test Conductor Duties supporting multiple subsystems.
Basic Qualifications:
This requisition may be filled at a Lab Operations Electrical Engineer (Level 2) OR Principal Lab Operations Electrical Engineer (Level 3) level based on the qualifications below.
Lab Operations Electrical Engineer (Level 2)
Must have a Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 2 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related professional/military experience.
Must have an active DoD Secret clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance, with an interim Top secret being required, prior to the commencement of employment, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business need
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, prior to the commencement of employment, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business need
Demonstrated experience in test engineering, lab operations and/or aircraft maintenance
Principal Lab Operations Electrical Engineer (Level 3)
Must have a Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 5 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Ph.D. in a STEM discipline and 1 year of related professional/military experience.
Must have an active DoD Secret clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance, with an interim Top secret being required, prior to the commencement of employment, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business need

Demonstrated experience in test engineering, lab operations and/or aircraft maintenance
Preferred Qualifications:
Active DoD Top Secret Clearance and Program Access(es)
Experienced in reading and comprehending schematic diagrams.
Experience using Test Equipment, such as digital multimeters, O-scopes, power supplies, etc.
Experienced with Electronic Principles, MIL STD protocol for 1553, 429, and 1394 busses.
Familiarity with avionics systems and equipment, Test Stations, or Lab Operations.
Experience with software deployments and deployments tools.
Experience in Aircraft Ground Operations and Test.
Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
