Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman is seeking an HVAC Mechanic Level 3 to to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals! This position will be on site supporting our South Bay California Facilities in El Segundo, CA.
This hands-on position requires knowledge and experience in repairs and maintenance of facilities and/or machines and equipment. The role is fully on-site; hybrid or remote work is not available.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment (AHUs, Chillers, Cooling Towers, VAVs, Heaters, Boilers, Air Compressors, Air Dryers, Coolers, Freezers).
Conduct routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine necessary repair and maintenance work to prevent breakdowns.
Use hand and power tools to troubleshoot, test, inspect, and repair machines and equipment.
Review and follow blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
Install, service, modify, rebuild, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration systems in accordance with applicable building codes and safety regulations.
Monitor and maintain centralized HVAC building automation systems, including pneumatic systems and direct digital control
Document and maintain records for the Maintenance Department, including preventive maintenance activities and service reports.
Be physically capable of working in high places from ladders, able to lift over 50 lbs, and follow exacting written and verbal instructions.
Work on an on-call basis and handle responsibilities assigned by management.
Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent, with 4 years of experience in HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
Must own Basic HVAC Tools
Must possess a Universal EPA License 608 and an Active California Driver's License.
Ability to work 9/80B Schedule
Required for All Levels:

Experience working in one or more of the maintenance trades: machine and equipment repair, machine controls, and/or electrical.
Familiarity with electrical/electronic components related to air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
Experience working within a Central Plant.
Preferred Qualifications:

Written and Verbal Communication Skills
Strong Interpersonal Skills.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
Strong commercial HVAC and refrigeration experience.
Experience in Aerospace/Defense Industry.
Strong computer, math, analytical, and planning skills.
Experience with building maintenance management and tracking systems (work orders, Computer-Aided Facilities Management, Maximo).
Knowledge of building automation control systems and troubleshooting I/O.
Good communication skills and experience with Microsoft Outlook

Primary Level Salary Range: $70,400.00 - $117,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
