The primary location for this position is in Mclean, VA. Additional locations would be in Redondo Beach, CA, Chandler, AZ, or can be fully remote for the right candidate. The position will require up to 25% travel to vendor and other sites (depending on location).
In this job, you will:
Lead supply chain execution and is accountable for horizontal and vertical integration, resource planning, material cost, forecasting, schedule performance, risk/opportunity and issue management, supplier performance, and resolution
Brief the PMO, GSC PM, GSC Business Unit, Sector Leadership, and the external customer on the status and issues affecting the assigned IPT GSC cost, driving GSC Program risks/opportunities impacting schedule performance
Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure that all supply chain commitments are met and that appropriate integrated mitigation or opportunity plans are developed and executed to address any organizational or programmatic risks and opportunities related to procurement supply chain
Support the lead Global Supply Chain Program Manager (GSC PM) on the program in tasks related to proposal leadership, management, strategy, integration, planning, and execution of GSC material, labor and services content for an assigned IPT and/or tasks
Ensure that prior to program or project execution, all elements of the proposed supply chain program(s) plans have complete, integrated and accurate schedules, budgets, make/buy plans, and procurement operation strategies
Manage multifaceted projects through proposals, GSC processes, coordinates interdepartmental activity, directs communication, and coordinates with Suppliers and integrates efforts across all GSC functions
Align project scope and deliverables with customer requirements and works closely with the technical community
Assist the GSC PM Program execution for:
Resource planning
Material cost
Financial forecast
Supplier schedule performance
Risk & Opportunity management
Supply chain issue resolution
Support the GSC PM in all phases of the Northrop Grumman Business Acquisition Process (BAP).
Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 8 years of professional experience (Supply Chain Management, Project Management, or Program Management), - OR - Master's degree with 6 years of professional experience
A minimum of 2 years' experience leading a team, process, and/or projects
Previous experience in Supply Chain
Solid understanding of general procurement and subcontract execution workflows
Solid understanding of general manufacturing and purchasing workflows
Ability to communicate with multiple levels internal to the organization and externally to suppliers
Ability to create and foster enduring relationships internally and externally with suppliers
Understanding of forecasting and planning with an emphasis on driving execution to need with an emphasis on working knowledge of Integrated Master Schedules
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous Aerospace Supply Chain experience, preferably in the Space Sector
MRP/ERP system experience
* Track record working a supply chain program for a complex system integration application in a manufacturing environment
Primary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 - $176,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
