What You'll Get To Do:
The candidate will provide direct technical support for the AN/TPS-80 Ground/Air Task Oriented Radar (G/ATOR) system. In this role they will provide expert technical advice in the production, operation, training, maintenance and repair of G/ATOR systems.
In addition, the candidate will: provide technical assistance to fleet Marines in the setup, operation, troubleshooting and repairs of deployed G/ATOR systems. The candidate can be called upon to provide remote support and/or on-site troubleshooting and repair in response to requests for technical assistance. In response for these requests the candidate can be called upon to provide refresher training; documentation of the results of maintenance, troubleshooting and problem resolution actions.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide subject matter expertise on system operations, signal flow, electronics theory, troubleshooting, and fault isolation
Support engineering efforts related to the development, testing and analysis of upgrades, replacement or modifications in design and/or procedural use changes.
Ensure other personnel are adhering to established procedures and schedules
Aid in training and courseware/product development
Participate in testing and evaluation of G/ATOR system improvements and new software baselines, documenting test results and recommendations

Participate in technical documentation review and modifications
Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma and 4 years of related experience.
Four years' Experience interpreting one or more of the following: Technical Drawings, Diagrams, Instructions, or Schematics
Four years' Experience with electrical safety procedures, hazardous material handling and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Familiarity with electronic test equipment such as Digital Multi-Meters (DMM's), oscilloscopes, power supplies or break out boxes
Familiarity with System Integration Test and Evaluation and processes and procedures or equivalent
Must be able to lift and move 25 lbs. heavy test equipment, cables, and radar system structures (legs, sand pads, etc.).
Must have an active Secret Clearance. Secret Clearance is required to start. Must be able to maintain this level of clearance for continued employment.
Ability to support multiple shifts and 30% travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
Military background
Proficient at collaborating with customer and NGC counterparts to define, refine, and maintain program strategies.
Experience with Aviation Command and Control Systems, Air Defense Radar Systems maintenance and associated Identification Friend & Foe (IFF) equipment, or experience in the operation, maintenance, and integration with external systems of Marine Corps Counter Fire Radar Systems
Practical experience with Air Defense/Surveillance Radar (AD/SR), Air Traffic Control (ATC) Radar or Ground Weapons Locating Radar (GWLR) operations
Practical experience with USMC maintenance processes and procedures, to include echelons/levels of maintenance (i.e. 1st through 4th echelon, or field level)
Familiarity with USMC logistics support and repair parts requisition processes
Current Passport
Excellent Interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and flexibility with this position.
Basic MS Office Skills
Able to plan and carry out difficult and complex assignments and develop new methods, approaches, and procedures
Four years' experience operating, maintaining and troubleshooting radar systems.
Four years' experience with maintenance processes and procedures
Four years' experience with deployment and setup of ground-based mobile radar systems
Primary Level Salary Range: $63,500.00 - $105,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
