Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking an Engineering Technician (Cables) Level 3 or Level 4 (2nd Shift), located in * Chandler, AZ.
This Engineering Technician will create cable build plans using M.E.S. software. Duties will include supporting the cable production floor with cable build issues and questions. The successful candidate will use released cable drawings, bill of materials and cable training guides to with program engineers, planners, quality inspectors and other departments to resolve issues or clarify for the cable build technician. Other duties will be M.E.S. plan alterations, developing cable technician process training materials, attending SQDEC meetings, back up for wire cut sheet creation as well as engineer support on critical schedules.

Provide technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks.
Gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes.
Produce engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics).
Perform detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas; preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided in such areas as trajectory adequacy, model dimensional consistency; and quantitative judgments concerning technical data.
Use personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports.
May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.
We are looking for someone who is detail oriented to work in a high output production environment with the ability to multi-task and switch from one priority to another smoothly. Requires reliable attendance, good communication skills, and ability to work within a goal-oriented team. We are willing to train a motivated candidate.
This position can be filled at either a Level 3 or Level 4.
Required Qualifications for Level 3
High School Diploma or equivalent with 4+ years of additional education and/or related experience
U.S. Citizenship
Confident reading cable drawings, bill of materials and cable training guides.
Use of MES software tools
Attention to detail when creating technical documentation
Demonstrated reliable attendance, good communication skills, and ability to work within a goal-oriented team
Experience working within cross-functional departments to synthesize information and resolve issues
Ability to work 2nd Shift (2pm-11:30pm)
Required Qualifications for Level 4
High School Diploma or equivalent with 6+ years of additional education and/or related experience
U.S. Citizenship
Confident reading cable drawings, bill of materials and cable training guides.
Use of MES software tools
Attention to detail when creating technical documentation
Demonstrated reliable attendance, good communication skills, and ability to work within a goal-oriented team
Experience working within cross-functional departments to synthesize information and resolve issues
Ability to work 2nd Shift (2pm-11:30pm)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cable auto braiding machines
Proficient use of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Forms, etc.)
Experience developing cable technician process training materials

We work a 9/80 schedule (9 hours per day Mon-Thurs, 8 hours every other Friday with the alternate Friday off)
Primary Level Salary Range: $57,500.00 - $95,900.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $68,300.00 - $113,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
