Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Defense Systems has an opening for an Engineering Test Technician Level 3 or 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Advanced Weapons business unit located in Northridge, CA. As an integral part of our multi-discipline engineering team in Advanced Weapons, you will be on the forefront of developing next generation solutions to protect technology for our nation's warfighters.
This position is required to be full-time, on-site in the Northridge, CA location. No remote/telework arrangement is available for this position. Applicants must have the ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD security clearance.
As an Engineering Test Technician, you will act as the primary point of contact for any production support, equipment readiness, periodic maintenance, and calibration. Working closely with metrology/calibration group and program management to align technical execution and deliverables with overall program objectives.
Role and responsibilities:

Provide clear directions to production team, ensuring development and production goals are met, risks are mitigated, and issues are driven in a timely manner.
Identify improvements related to throughput and measurement accuracy to enhance quality, cost reduction, operational performance, and improve equipment effectiveness.
Support internal program and business leadership by preparing and delivering briefs, risk assessments, and equipment readiness.
Conduct testing, troubleshooting and coordinate with different support groups daily.
May be required to assist with engineering evaluation or troubleshooting.
Basic Qualifications Engineering Test Technician 3:

High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of industry-related experience.
Experience reading technical drawings, part lists, and component data sheets
Experience in using Specialty Test Equipment (STE) in a manufacturing environment
Ability to manage multiple and concurrent tasks while maintaining a sense of urgency.
Excellent problem-solving skills, teamwork, self-motivation, leadership.
Ability to obtain & maintain a DoD security clearance (US Citizenship required)
Basic Qualifications Engineering Test Technician 4:

High school diploma/GED & 6+ years of industry related experience
Experience reading technical drawings, part lists, and component data sheets
Experience in using Specialty Test Equipment (STE) in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiar with FQT and Corona certification process.
Experience leading a team of 6 or more Test technicians
8 years or more of industry-related experience with Special Test Equipment.
Extensive knowledge of Special Test Equipment which allows for minimal supervision.
Experience with ESD (electrostatic discharge) and FOD (foreign object damage) control.
Primary Level Salary Range: $66,600.00 - $111,000.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $79,100.00 - $131,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
