This position, based in Huntsville, AL, or Colorado Springs, CO, plays a crucial role in supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels.
This position does not include relocation assistance and requires on-site work with no remote options.
Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a vital part of the Missile Defense System. It offers a key operational platform that allows the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and tactical levels to systematically plan missile defense operations, monitor battle progress, and actively control networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission goals. C2BMC provides a layered missile defense capability, delivering an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It acts as a force multiplier by connecting, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations worldwide and locally to improve overall performance. Additionally, C2BMC is a crucial component of all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the missile defense system's current and future capabilities.
Essential Functions:
Software development
Database manipulation
Automated tooling pipeline management and maintenance
Document creation and presentation
Must be capable of functioning as part of an experienced team in developing systems engineering products while adhering to the Architecture and Systems Engineering Management Plan (ASEMP) and other processes

Salary range for Huntsville: $85,400 - $128,000
Salary range for Colorado Springs: $81,300 - $121,900
Basic Qualifications:
Please list your current security clearance and IAT or relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable.
A Bachelor's Degree in a STEM Science, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university is preferred, along with 2 years of experience; or a Master's degree (preferred) in a STEM related field with 0 years of relevant work experience; or a PhD in a related field with 0 years of relevant work experience
Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
Relevant hands-on experience in Systems Engineering and other skills such as:
Programming languages, including Java
C++
Python
Database management
Networking
Data communications
Microsoft Excel, including creating Pivot Tables and developing Excel Macros
Preferred Qualifications:
Certificate: Completion of Systems Engineering Graduate Certificate Program (Ex, UCSD, Stevens University, MIT, Caltech)
Certification: INCOSE Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP) Certification
Certification: Object Management Group Certified Systems Modeling Professional - Model User (OCSMP - MU)
Experience in performing systems engineering for DoD Information Systems is desirable
Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, HTCondor, GitLab, etc., is preferred
Experience developing tools and products to support system, project analysis, or assessment is desired

Primary Level Salary Range: $81,300.00 - $128,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
