This Electronics Engineer/ Principal Electronics Engineer position requires a blend of Hardware and Software skills, experience with DC, Analog, Digital or RF test & measurement equipment, and a hands-on approach to troubleshooting complex electronic systems. Typical responsibilities may include hardware troubleshooting and test optimization development, software maintenance, GUI & Control development for test execution, and more.
We are looking for an individual that would like to pursue an exciting and rewarding career in RF hardware test execution. This would include:
Strong emphasis of hands-on integration and troubleshooting
Execute documentation updates that are under configuration control (CCB) and be able to own the process for releasing engineering updates
Working with and understanding COTS RF test equipment, to include network analyzers, power meters, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes and programable power supplies

Lead a small team through program directed objectives to ensure hardware delivery schedules are met.
Communicating clearly and concisely with program leadership on status and action plans as it relates to test execution.
Roles and Responsibilities include:
Understanding design to cost, scope, and schedule
Requirements definition
Design of flexible Hardware & Software test solutions together with a team of experts
Manufacturing support during the hardware build process
Integration of Hardware & Software into a functioning system
Certification with the Quality organization
System deployment and factory support
Software maintenance and / or Hardware refresh initiatives
This opening can be filled at a level 2 OR 3.
This role is contingent upon having a current Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Basic Qualifications Electronics Engineer:
You must satisfy one of the following education/experience criteria to be considered for this position:
Bachelor's degree in STEM with 2 years' experience, Master's degree in STEM with 0 years' experience. An additional 4 years' experience in lieu of a degree is acceptable.
United States Citizenship.
Must have a current active DoD Secret Security Clearance. Current clearance must have been updated (periodic reinvestigation) within the last 5 years.
The ability to read and interpret specifications, schematics and block diagrams
Mix of hardware and software skills
Experience in text-based programming (e.g. C /C++)
Background and working knowledge in RF, digital or power theory and concepts
Experience with test & measurement equipment
Basic Qualifications Principal Electronics Engineer:

Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in Engineering or related STEM discipline
Test design and integration background
Ability to work with minimal direction and guidance
Experience with LabWindows CVI, C / C++ programming
TestStand programming
Experience with schematic design tools (e.g. Mentor Graphics, Zuken, etc.)
Proficiency with digital, analog, RF test equipment, RF theory and high-speed digital design
Familiarity with differential digital interfaces like LVDS - PXI/PXIe and VME bus experience
* Hands-on troubleshooting of electrical hardware
Primary Level Salary Range: $87,600.00 - $131,400.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $108,800.00 - $163,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
