The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Manufacturing Engineering team, where they will work on the Infrared Countermeasures (IRCM) suite of products as a Test Engineer.
What You'll get to Do:
Researches, designs, develops, tests, and identifies improvements / corrective actions for a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including Lasers, Laser Transmitters, Ultraviolet sensors, Infrared sensors, system Processors along with an assortment of test equipment and associated systems.

Troubleshooting production hardware to determine the root cause of failures and identify corrective actions
Support production floor and test technicians
Lead/support non-recurring (NRE) projects
Optimizing processes to reduce costs and increase throughput
Maintaining processes and procedures in accordance with ISO standards
Working with suppliers to resolve technical hardware issues
Creating and analyzing metrics/data analysis
Hardware integration and test
Create engineering documentation (change notices, parts lists, bills of materials, test reports, test procedures)
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Proficient in MS Office
Basic Qualifications Electrical Engineer, T2:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience; or Master of Science (MS) degree in an equivalent field.
Experience with troubleshooting electronic hardware - basic RF or Digital troubleshooting.
Working knowledge of test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, power supplies, network analyzers, etc.
The ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications Electrical Engineer, T2:

Experience with lasers and optics
Experience with Data analysis and root cause / corrective actions
Experience in troubleshooting test stations

Primary Level Salary Range: $87,600.00 - $131,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
