Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our Operations Engineering & Product Development Lab Team as an Electronics Engineering Manager 2 based out of Elkridge, MD.
This position will lead the Test Engineering Team and serve as both an IPT Lead and Functional Manager. In this role, you will oversee the testing of Radar Systems RF, Digital, Analog and Circuit Boards.
What You'll Get to Do:
Supervise 10-15 test engineers who provide sustainment support for multiple programs (SABR, F-22, F-16, H-4, etc.)
Actively plan, monitor, and review each engineer's career-growth progress, including performance goals and development plans
Create individualized development plans, mentor staff, and champion learning opportunities such as training, certifications, and stretch assignments
Serve as IPT Lead for multiple test areas
Oversee maintenance, testing, and calibration of all lab equipment
Oversee daily operations and project execution, track milestones, and deliver clear status reports to above leadership
Coordinate actions, communicate impact and resolution status to stakeholders
Manage employee movement, balance resources across programs, and resolve urgent technical issues quickly and effectively
Act as the primary escalation point for program-level challenges
Ensure engineering activities performed by various teams meet quality, schedule, and cost targets
Ensure all test activities comply with safety standards, documentation requirements, and quality criteria
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in a STEM field with 8 years of experience working in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering or Computer Engineering; Master's degree in a STEM field with 6 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering or Computer Engineering
Experience in leading/managing tasks, projects, people within an engineering team
Experience with cross organizational communication and leadership
Experience designing, building, and troubleshooting test equipment
Current/Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain SAP
U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications:
Functional manager of people and technical leadership as well as project cost and schedule responsibilities
Experience in a Manufacturing environment, with demonstrated experience running a work cell, engineering group, or technical projects

Primary Level Salary Range: $153,800.00 - $230,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
