As an Electrical Technician - Level 3 located in Chandler, AZ, you'll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one.
The selected candidate will perform advanced electrical assembly, integration, testing, and troubleshooting in support of spacecraft, launch system, and/or ground support equipment production. This role requires a highly skilled individual who can interpret complex engineering documentation and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced, process-driven environment.
As an Electrical Technician Level 3, you will play a critical role in the production and integration of flight hardware and support equipment, ensuring program schedules, quality standards, and procedural compliance are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble, install, and test electrical and electronic components, cables, harnesses, and subassemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
Perform advanced troubleshooting of electrical systems and recommend corrective actions to address issues.
Interpret and work from engineering documentation, schematics, wiring diagrams, and manufacturing instructions.
Execute electrical system integration and final functional testing in cleanroom and lab environments.
Configure, operate, and maintain test equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and programming tools for electronic systems.
Manufacture, repair, and rework electrical assemblies such as wiring harnesses or PCBs, adhering to IPC standards (e.g., IPC-A-610 or IPC/WHMA-A-620).
Perform inspections, quality verifications, and non-conformance reporting, ensuring all work meets program requirements.
Support program schedules by maintaining efficiency and quality throughout production.
Collaborate with engineering, design, and test teams to provide feedback on potential improvements or design changes.
Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, ESD guidelines, and cleanroom procedures.
Maintain accurate documentation of work performed in accordance with company and program policies.
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of electrical assembly/integration or technician experience in a relevant field.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical work instructions.

Familiarity with manufacturing tools and software, including manufacturing execution systems (MES) or similar platforms.
Ability to lift and handle equipment or tools weighing up to 50 lbs may occasionally be required.
Work may involve standing or kneeling for extended periods and repetitive hand movements.
The environment may also require work in a cleanroom or lab with strict protocol compliance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in soldering (e.g., J-STD-001) or cable assembly per IPC/WHMA-A-620.
Experience in aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability industries.
Background in spaceflight hardware production or launch vehicle systems.
Primary Level Salary Range: $33.00 - $40.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
