The Electrical Assembly group at Northrop Grumman Oceanic Systems is seeking a dependable SR Development Electronics Technician to support our Undersea Systems business portfolio at the Annapolis, MD campus. In Annapolis, our technical and business leaders develop and manufacture advanced underwater systems, sensors, and vehicles designed to excel in volatile and ever-changing undersea environments.

Performing routine technical functions related to the support of development engineering and test activities, such as, test, verification, modification, and assembly of electronics and Electro-mechanical systems to print.

Interpreting schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform routine testing, checkout, troubleshooting, prototype building, and developmental engineering tasks.

Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 12 years experience in an Acoustic/Sonar and/or laboratory lead technician environment

U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

Encapsulate electronic assemblies for subsea deployment experience

Solders, fabricates, wire chassis and assembles cables

Hands on soldering experience

IPC 620 Certified

Experience with MIL type cable assemblies and connectors and Structures

SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Experience

Mechanical and electromechanical Experience

Experience with common industry standard practices, such as FOD, ESD, Electrical Safety

Experience interpreting CAD drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and engineering instructions

Experience collaborating with engineering to design and modify prototype transducers and subsea assemblies

Preferred Qualifications:

Current Secret or Top Secret DoD clearance.

Graduate of a two-year, full time electronic technology school OR six months military electronics school.

Primary Level Salary Range: $55,000.00 - $133,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
