We are looking for you to join our Sentinel Mission Defense Team as a Thread Lead - Cybersecurity Systems Engineering based out of Roy, UT. What You'll Get To Do:
The Cyber Thread Lead is recognized on the Sentinel program as a subject matter expert in the domain of Cybersecurity Systems Engineering. The Thread Lead partners with the program Office of Chief Engineers to ensure the technical baseline for Cybersecurity functions is ultimately complete, verified, and validated. In this role, you will demonstrate a broad skill set balanced between interpersonal and technical capabilities, with the ability to tightly collaborate with and technically guide and advise stakeholders as required to accomplish Cybersecurity objectives for complex software and hardware airborne vehicle and ground systems. Strong executive presence, ability to effectively influence internal and external customers, and significant gravitas are foundational to success in this role. Work location will be on-site at the Roy, Utah facility.

Job Responsibilities:

Communicate with customer counterparts, through regular meetings and working groups, to status, receive guidance, and discuss issues related to the implementation of Cybersecurity

Report Cybersecurity thread related status, compliances, and areas of concern to the Office of Chief Engineers; Work with Office of Chief Engineers to develop solutions and opportunities to address Cybersecurity related issues

Identify Cybersecurity related risks and prepare mitigation plans

Ensure the team decomposes Weapon System Cybersecurity thread requirements to all applicable Segment specifications including requirement performance budget allocation where applicable; Provide oversight of additional decomposition from Segment level specifications to the lowest level specifications

Ensure the team supports Cybersecurity Requirements Analysis with the Segment IPTs

Support the identification of requirements effectivity for IFC milestones

Ensure the effective development of Cybersecurity Technical Performance Measure (TPM) Plans, TPM assessments, and return-to-green plans for any TPM with insufficient margin

Ensure the identification and establishment of Cybersecurity related interface control specifications captured in the program DOORS implementation

Required to support formal review for all verification planning and reports captured in the program Cameo implementation for levels 1 and 2 or where verification happens at a lower level

Provide technical oversight for test plans, procedures, and test execution

Maintain historical knowledge for each Cybersecurity related requirement through sell-off

Ensure physical and functional architecture, captured in the program Cameo implementation, supports Cybersecurity realization

Review and approve Cybersecurity Systems Engineering related work products at Levels 1 and 2 and provide stakeholder review at lower levels of decomposition

Lead independent engineering reviews of Cybersecurity/integration work products


Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other technical/science discipline with 16 years of relevant experience; Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other technical/science discipline with 14 years of relevant experience; PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other technical/science discipline with 11 years of relevant experience

Expert level knowledge of Cybersecurity Systems Engineering practices, including advanced knowledge of network technologies, custom hardware, software implementations, DoW system development life cycles and methodologies, and insight into information technology infrastructure management/monitoring and applications for very large-scale development programs

At least 10 years of experience in Cybersecurity Engineering roles of increasing responsibility on $50M+ programs designing, implementing, and/or requirement testing, for weapon systems and/or supporting mission systems and networks

At least 10 years proven experience in Systems Engineering leadership roles covering all phases of the Systems Engineering lifecycle, including delivery

Knowledge of and/or experience with Cyber Security Risk Management Construct and/or Cyber Survivability Endorsement Implementation Guide

Working experience with DoW Cyber Developmental Test and Evaluation and/or Operational Test and Evaluation

A current/active DoW Secret clearance

The ability to obtain and maintain a DoW Top Secret w/SCI clearance

The ability to obtain and maintain a SAP approval

Meets criteria for DoDI 8140 advanced proficiency level (Details at https://www.cyber.mil/dod-workforce-innovation-directorate/dod8140/qualification-matrices)

Preferred Qualifications:

A current/active DoW Top Secret clearance

Briefed to the Sentinel program

Expertise with all aspects of Systems Security Engineering as defined in NIST SP 800-160 vol 1&2

Experience with DoW Inter-Continental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) systems

Experience with High Assurance design and engineering efforts

Expertise with Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) and related tools such as DOORS, Cameo, etc.

Expertise with containerized software systems in accordance with DoD DevSecOps Reference Design and a demonstrated ability to manage and direct efforts following an Agile and DevSecOps process model

Experience innovating in Cybersecurity Accreditation processes and procedures in a multi-certification (Cyber, Nuclear Surety, etc.) context as part of a Digital Engineering Environment

Primary Level Salary Range: $201,400.00 - $302,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
