This organization provides flight test and maritime capabilities for the development, assessment and demonstration of NGC products and systems.
This position will support, guide and execute various flight test programs across the EO/IR/laser and RF spectrum as well as SIGINT and Cyber. Included in these efforts is supporting the acquisition and modification of the NG Flight Test Fleet to ensure maximum flexibility to support all Northrop Grumman flight tests efforts at an affordable cost. Assist various programs and government from a system engineering standpoint from CONOPS to Test for individual to integrated systems/sensors.
Provide Modification assistance to Management to achieve a flexible fleet of 3 large CRJ 700 test beds that support the same multiple configurations across the fleet.
Support mission and engineering requirements for 2 target Jets (L-39 and Lear 60) and 1 Dehavilland Dash 8 turboprop.
Guide new programs and inexperienced system engineers to develop integration plans that span from modeling to the lab, to the range to flight test to identify issues early, reduce costs and risk, to meet or reduce program schedules.

Basic Qualifications: *
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 16 years of engineering experience OR Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 14 years of engineering experience OR PhD in a STEM discipline and 12 years of engineering experience.
Experience developing technical solutions and strategies in RF test design.
Experience creating and driving technology roadmaps across multiple organizations in RF antenna test design that resulted in new product or business opportunities.
Experience as a technical leader to multi-disciplinary teams across different program lifecycle phases.
Active DoD Secret or Top-Secret Security Clearance.
US Citizenship Required.
Preferred Qualifications: *
Understanding antenna architectures, receiver / exciter architectures, requirements generation/flow down; subsystem analysis including hardware from RF to digits, performance modeling, performance testing, and requirements verification.
Professional software development experience using languages such as C++, Python, MATLAB, etc with RF and antenna systems.
Test development experience in a nearfield antenna range.
Antenna test experience from antenna range to flight testing.
Knowledge of RF and antenna theory critical to test AESA antennas, and experience presenting technical analysis of such to internal and external customers.
Thorough understanding of AESA architecture including phased arrays, RFICs, power systems, digital controls and digitization .
Understanding of RF simulation and modeling techniques.
Understanding of the design process from requirements definition through verification .
Experience communicating appropriately with a wide variety of disciplines and levels of technical ability.
Previous experience in aircraft modifications, configuration and control, and technical / operational review boards.
Familiar with government test organizations, ranges and processes.
Ability to obtain SCI and SAP access.
This position is a full-time, on-site role based in Baltimore, MD.
Primary Level Salary Range: $202,500.00 - $303,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
