In this role, you will support the program's Release Engineering team's Configuration & Data Management activities.

Core responsibilities:

Facilitate the SDRB/SCCB activities

Establish agendas, publish minutes & track meeting actions

Maintenance of the Discrepancy Report (DR) databases

Formal document control and release

Provide assistance to the Software Project personnel in configuration control and formal release of work products

Maintain, update, and publish multiple build plans on a weekly cadence

Contribute to process improvement as we transition to new Agile methodologies of accomplishing the goals of SCM

Contribute to training others in SCM Data Management tasks and in helping software program personnel better understand those processes

Contribute to the development of goals for the department and planning efforts

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.
Basic Qualifications:

Principal Configuration Analyst (A03): 5 years of relevant experience with Bachelors; 3 years with Masters; 1 year with PhD
Senior Principal Configuration Analyst (A04): 8 years of relevant experience with Bachelors; 6 years with Masters; 4 years with PhD
Active DoD Top Secret clearance required at the time of application with the ability to obtain SCI prior to start
Ability to apply principles of a Configuration Management Plan (CMP)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and comfortable with tables, figures, diagrams, etc
Knowledge of product baselines
Ability and willingness to work extended hours as need to stay ahead of deadlines
Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot configuration issues
Experience outlining meeting topics and objectives, and ability to document and manage multiple meetings
Preferred Qualifications:

SCI clearance
Domain knowledge of Configuration Mgmt. standards such as MIL-HDBK-61A &/or EIA-649B &/or EIA-649-1
Experience with Atlassian Tools (Jira and Confluence)
Experience or familiarity with ClearQuest
Experience with basic Linux commands
Previous experience on a Software development or Operations & Maintenance (O&M) programs
Primary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 - $176,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
