Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Associate Project Manager/Project Manager to join a team of qualified, diverse individuals within the Lab Operations, Engineering and Test Department. This role is located in Edwards AFB, CA.
Note: Due to the classified nature of the work being performed, this position does not offer any virtual or telecommute working options. This is an individual contributor role and can be filled at either level.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Coordinate with technical leadership in a cross functional team to meet program cost, schedule, and technical objectives
Responsible for creating, maintaining, and presenting performance program metrics to project and Test Leadership.
Define, plan, perform, monitor, control, and complete a variety of project tasks simultaneously
Track budget actuals against predictions and financial performance against the full EV performance management baseline
Provide Cost Account Management for Flight Test Statements of Work (SOW). Will be responsible for tracking project status and reporting Earned Value Management data to Flight Test and project Leadership.
Coordinate Earned Value Change Requests (EVCRs) with the business management and Scheduling team as needed
Support logistics team, generate staffing requirements, documentation, and forecasts
Review labor resources and cost actuals on a weekly basis, and acting on any discrepancies
Support development of packages for Proposal and Change Requests for cost and schedule
Adhere to all internal processes for Program Management
Perform schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate program cost and scheduling risks
Manage Flight Test proposal efforts to coordinate and consolidate Task Assessments, Rough Order of Magnitudes (ROM), etc. in support of future projects.
Provide updates for the program specific Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) regarding status of progress for Flight Test Statements of Work (SOW).
Responsible for reporting and updating project and Flight Test calendars to reflect latest status and forecasts.
Liaison to outside organizations to ensure coordination for site access for Flight Test and project personnel.

Basic Qualifications for Associate Project Manager:
0 years of relevant experience with bachelor's degree. An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
Knowledge of Earned Value Management.
Ability to obtain NGC Cost Account Management (CAM) certification.
Proficient with MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Project, and/or Power Point.

2 years of relevant experience with bachelor's degree. An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.

Primary Level Salary Range: $63,000.00 - $94,600.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $75,800.00 - $113,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
