WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

You will report to the Director of Government & Public Affairs (GPA) Vietnam, based in Ho Chi Minh City and work very closely with colleagues in government and public affairs, legal, ethics and compliance, social and community impact, logistics and origin operations, sustainability, etc. across the Asia Pacific Latin America (APLA) geography and in Vietnam. You will sometimes work with teams based in other geographies such as the European Union (EU) and the United States (US).

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate for the position of Senior Professional, Government & Public Affairs, will possess the following key attributes:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Law, International Relations or related field.
  • Minimum 3-4 years' experience in government affairs, policy analysis, or regulatory compliance.
  • Strong understanding of Vietnam's regulatory landscape; exposure to Thailand and Cambodia is a plus. Experience with priority policy areas preferred (e.g., tax, trade, sustainability, product supply chain, etc.)
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork and ability to work effectively in cross cultural settings.
  • Have a strong work ethic and commitment to doing the right thing.
  • Ability to create standard work products independently while contributing to the broader team's performance, especially within a highly matrixed organization.
  • Candidates must own strong interpersonal and communications skills in both Vietnamese and English.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

The GPA team creates, strengthens and sustains key relationships with policy makers, opinion leaders, industry associations, community leaders and a host of global and local stakeholders to responsibly shape the policy landscape. As NIKE changes the future of sport, the GPA team powers and protects the enterprise's competitive advantage across our value chain - marketplace, supply chain and accelerating functions.

  • You will assist the GPA Director in monitoring the fast-changing policies and regulations impacting on the operations and business development of NIKE and our extended supply chain.
  • You will conduct foundational policy and regulatory reviews in support of advocacy in areas including labor, e-commerce, import/export and manufacturing, intellectual property rights, tax, energy, and more.
  • You will interact with factory partners, coalitions and industry associations, government agencies, representing the company in select settings in support of NIKE's interests.
  • You will be the point of contact for the implementation of NIKE's community impact activities and memberships in industry associations.
  • You will also support initiatives in the GPA APLA team.
