Product Development Manager- Apparel, North America Local Creation

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

The Product Development manager will be part of the NA Local Creation Team, reporting to the Sr.Development Manager. They will collaborate with Design, Product, Sourcing & Costing, GLAM partners, Manufacturing teams and Global Factory Partners to drive alignment and deliver premium product execution within a speed-to-market-model.

  • Bachelor's degree in Apparel Design, Product Development, Textiles, Graphic Design, Merchandising or a related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience or training
  • 5 years' experience in Product Creation (Product Development, Merchandising, Operations, Production or R&D)
  • Strong proficiency in Clo, Optitex and Adobe Illustrator is required
  • Deep understanding of apparel construction, technical drawings, materials, costing and quality
  • Strong development skills with the ability to translate design intent into 3D and 2D solutions
  • Experience with graphics, embellishments and graphic execution within apparel development is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities; able to manage multiple calendars and projects across multiple seasons
  • Strong analytical, decision making, influencing, and strategic thinking skills; a self-starter with a proactive mindset
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time (domestic and international)

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

You will lead and develop a team of product developers, fostering collaboration, accountability and growth. You will serve as the primary cross-functional partner between Product and Design to drive seasonal product creation from concept through full commercialization. You will establish and maintain process discipline with clear, measurable deliverables that support the speed-to-market goals in a rapidly changing marketplace.

  • Act as a player-coach, executing seasonal iterations of must-win franchises to drive relevance in the North America marketplace, while leading Technical Designers and Developers through operationally complex seasonal work streams.
  • Build critical strategic infrastructure to streamline workflows and scale team capabilities in alignment with the North America Local Creation strategy
  • Guide style development, ensuring timely execution and alignment with design intent and product strategy.
  • Manage fit sessions and pattern execution to deliver premium product quality and consistency.
  • Oversee materials, trims, and graphics integration throughout the development cycle.
  • Own development timelines, documentation, and Data accuracy, making real-time decisions that balance quality, cost, and speed-to-market.
  • Partner closely with Product, Design, GLAM, Sourcing & Costing, and global manufacturing teams to bring innovative concepts to life.
  • Manage Material Print Creation end-to-end across multiple materials, gaining a holistic view of the manufacturing process and hands-on exposure to PCC responsibilities.
