You will partner with globally distributed teams of engineering, product and program teams to ensure that the ecosystem of services remains loosely coupled, independently scalable, and meets the needs of the business. You will work with your peers to develop key innovation features and report into the Senior Engineering Manager for your capability area.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a passionate Engineering Manager, to be a part of Nike's new Marketing Technology organization. You will play a critical role in developing Nike's Paid Media solutions platform, You will participate in designs and implementation on a team building high-throughput, low-latency, fault-tolerant Paid Media solutions to drive Nike's Digital transformation and growth strategies. This position requires technical curiosity and intuition for business along with strong engineering management skills. We are looking for someone to drive, own, and ship all aspects of large, multi-functional efforts and feature areas. You will partner with engineering teams throughout feature development from architecture, design, implementation, and validation

• 10 plus years of technology related experience required
• 3+ Years' Management Experience Required
• Experience in microservices architecture, domain driven design, and RESTful API's using languages such as Node.js and python
• Experience using cloud services to build an integrated application (AWS - EC2, ECS, API gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB).
• Experience with implementing CI/CD and leading teams with DevOps responsibilities of deploying and supporting the software in production
• Experience with highly collaborative, multi-discipline development team environments
• Experience with developing automated tests (E2E) with testing frameworks
• Solid understanding of Scrum and Agile principles
• Dedication to and hands-on experience in performing technical code reviews
• Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively connect with both business and technical teams
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, Information Systems, or a combination of relevant education, experience, and training

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

You will build and deliver the technical runway for existing and new technological capabilities to support multiple mission critical systems within the Paid Media space. You will rely on your understanding of scalable, highly available, and consistent distributed systems to design world class solutions.

Design & Develop: Build, test, and maintain React applications and Node services providing functionality necessary to enable our advertising efforts.

• Collaborate: Work closely with product managers, engineers to understand requirements, technical specifications, and deliver quality software.
• Explain designs to teammates to for alignment and approval
• Ensure solutions are designed and developed using a scalable, highly resilient cloud native architecture
• Front-End Development: Design and implement RESTful APIs, microservices, services using technologies like Node.js
• Participate in design reviews with peers to provide feedback
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best
• Database Management: Develop databases, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Write unit tests, integration tests, and maintain high code quality standards using tools such as Jest, Mocha, or similar.
• Performance Optimization: Identify and fix performance bottlenecks across the full stack, ensuring high availability and responsiveness.
• CI/CD Integration: Integrate with and maintain continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for seamless software delivery.
• Agile Methodologies: Participate in Agile processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, code reviews, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
