Manager Software Engineering, ITC

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

You will be a part of the Global Technology organization working on Nike's internal Consumer Product & Innovation software tools for enabling creation of Nike's Footwear and Apparel and report to the team's Engineering Director based in Bengaluru. You will work day-to-day managing a team of engineers, collaborating with the team's Product Manager and Principal Engineers working on software projects to achieve Nike's business objectives. You will also engage with other Global Technology functions and teams on organizational and technical goals.

We're looking for a software engineering leader with strong technical depth, a passion for developing teams, and a track record of delivering modern digital platforms at scale. You bring people leadership, engineering rigor, and experience guiding teams through complexity with cloud-native architectures, microservices, and modern front-end technologies. Proven success leading and developing high-performing engineering teams in collaborative environments

• 10+ years of experience in technology and software engineering, grounded in strong computer science fundamentals

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or equivalent professional experience

• Significant software engineering experience across the full software lifecycle, including practices, tools, and deliverables

• Hands-on expertise with cloud architecture, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, APIs, domain-driven design, and microservices

• Experience with AWS services including Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, and S3

• Experience building modern web applications with React, Angular, or Vue.js

• Strong understanding of architectural and integration patterns, data movement and enrichment, and enterprise security and privacy

• Knowledge of open-source technologies and make-versus-buy decisions across workflow, orchestration, content management, and data platforms

• Proven ability to collaborate with engineers, architects, product leaders, and business stakeholders across global time-zones

• Strong communication and facilitation skills, with extensive experience partnering with business teams

• Experience working in Agile environments with a focus on continuous improvement

• Experience implementing and integrating AI, machine learning, and related data solutions preferred
