As a part of NIKE's ACG Product Testing team, you will work with NIKE's creation teams to test new Footwear to ensure that it fits and performs up to the highest standards. NIKE captures insights directly from athletes to identify performance issues prior to production. The data we gather results in product that is innovative, proven & tested for our global marketplace.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Footwear Product Testing Manager to join the Footwear Product Testing team based at Nike Shanghai, China Headquarters. Our Product Testing Manager will operate as a Coach/Player, encompassing both People Manager and Analyst responsibilities. This role ensures that Nike ACG Footwear fits and performs up to the highest standards. Our Product Testing Manager will drive and execute all aspects of Running & ACG footwear testing, including expertly planning tests, recruiting and building relationships with target athletes, executing all level of tests, masterfully analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data while capturing product and athlete feedback, producing excellent written reports and delivering presentations to the product creation team. This role is responsible for building diverse and inclusive teams, while cultivating an environment in which differences are openly shared, embraced and incorporated into the team culture. This role will be responsible for individual talent and performance development of direct reports. This role will develop team members to support both career and organizational goals, as well as provide coaching and development opportunities. The candidate needs to have strong product creation acumen, proven influencing skills, formal mentoring experience, exceptional communication and organizational skills as well as demonstrated initiative in identifying areas of opportunities and implementing solutions in conjunction with a leadership team.

- Bachelor's degree preferred or minimum 5 additional years' relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
- 5 years' experience in a professional working environment. Experience in the footwear, product testing, development, marketing, engineering, retail, customer service industry is preferred.
- Understanding of footwear components, materials, and inline productions processes is a definite plus.
- Strong communication skills and a history of influencing across a broad network of functional leadership
- Experience working with athletes, coaches, and equipment managers.
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs and familiarity with spreadsheet database and statistical analysis procedures.
- Able to physically lift and carry items weighing 20 pounds.
- Demonstrate leadership experience.
- Ability to travel up to 25% per year, both domestically and internationally
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
In this role, in partnership with Nike WHQ Principle ACG Analyst & Direct Running Product Testing, you will be leading the overarching testing strategy in Shanghai, China for Running & ACG Footwear. You'll use your proven understanding of the footwear manufacturing process combined with your strong knowledge of the Athlete to masterfully derive insights from data in order to inform and inspire the product creation teams. You will provide coaching to direct reports in delivering results on testing projects. You will also partner with the Director based in Shanghai as well as WHQ Directors and Managers to build and implement Best Practices as related to the Running & ACG Shanghai, China testing program for the supported businesses and drive alignment. A typical day is a combination of communicating and interacting with Athlete testers, coaching and mentoring direct reports, attending zoom meetings with your cross functional partners that are based at WHQ and managing prototype samples. You will also be conducting testing both on and off Nike campus. Because we interact where Athletes live, work and play at times you will be working outside of traditional working hours.
