Who We Are Looking For:

We are hiring a Lead Strategy Manager that will work with leadership in the North America geography to develop and execute our long-term strategy, identify and evaluate critical strategic priorities, and catalyze action against these priorities through business planning process. As part of North America, you will serve as a core architect of North America's sport strategies, directly shaping priorities to bring the future of sport to consumers. This role offers exposure across multiple sports, functions, and senior leaders, serving as a springboard for broader leadership roles within Nike.

What You Will Work On:

As a Lead Strategy Manager you will be responsible for driving Nike's long-term growth strategy forward. Working on cross-functional project teams, you will support Geography leadership in identifying and evaluating critical priorities and strategic questions that ultimately lead to decisive action. You will be responsible for leading strategic business planning processes, authoring & driving strategies, organizing & leading key strategic meetings, and serving as a critical thought partner to our senior leaders to explore complex business issues. You will drive cross-functional projects under the three core Strategy functional pillars listed below:

  • Build Integrated Growth Plans - Activate our Strategy by driving integrated actions to win with athletes* & drive profitable growth. Be a thought partner to one or more leaders by performing ad-hoc analysis and developing presentations to address meaningful strategic questions related to the leader's remit and organization. Complete rigorous strategic analysis and synthesize insights into compelling presentations
  • Define Future Strategies - Creating the path for future Nike. Develop frameworks, analysis, and critical thinking for key strategic projects. Scope the work, define workstreams, and serve as overall project quarterback, owning the synthesis, point of view, and recommendations on the most critical strategic questions that North America is facing.
  • Assess Impact - Diagnose results aligned to the plan & prioritize future actions. Support senior leader(s) to communicate strategies across the broader organization and develop KPIs to measure success.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Economics, Applied Science or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
  • 5+ years of proven experience in corporate strategy, strategy consulting, business development, corporate development, or related experience
  • Or 4+ years' total experience with an MBA / Master's degree
  • Experience in leading sophisticated strategic projects and proven success in leading a methodical process of analyzing problems, gathering information, generating options, then proposing and acting on a course of action
  • Consistent track record of cross-functional leadership amongst diverse individuals with different goals
  • Demonstrated problem structuring and strategic problem-solving skills with experience managing multiple simultaneous projects
  • Proficiency in business communication tools and verbal/written storytelling + communication to promote conceptual understanding and mobilize change through storytelling
  • Presentation prowess and proficiency leveraging tools such as keynote
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity, translating complex problems into decisive action in the midst of cross-functional, matrixed environments
  • Proven experience with presenting and influencing senior leadership, maximizing excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Superior interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Apparel/footwear, retail, merchandising and/or experience in consumer-facing industries and proven understanding of the competitive landscape/retail marketplace
