WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

As Global Director of Visual Merchandising for Sportswear, you will set the vision for premium, sport-led retail experiences that elevate Nike across both owned stores and key marketplace partners worldwide. You will translate global brand and merchandising strategy into clear, sport-specific visual plans that deliver compelling product storytelling at scale.

You will lead seasonal alignment with senior leadership and cross-functional partners, representing Retail in key seasonal decision forums and helping define priorities and direction. You will own the development of seasonal and evergreen tools, including visual merchandising and campaign directives, mannequin styling standards, and playbooks that drive consistent execution across geographies and store formats.

A core part of this role is shaping the future of retail presentation. You will guide innovation and prototype builds within Retail Labs, helping test, refine, and scale new concepts that influence how consumers experience product in the years ahead.

You will build, connect, and activate a global network of visual merchandising leaders, partnering closely with merchandising and brand teams to ensure marketplace relevance, cultural credibility, and competitive distinction. You will continuously mine industry and consumer insights to raise the bar on creativity and execution.

Finally, you will lead and develop a team of Managers, setting a high standard for excellence through coaching, clarity, and empowerment. You will foster a high-performance, positive team culture while setting the pace for world-class visual merchandising.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

In this role, the leader operates at the center of a highly collaborative, global ecosystem. They partner closely with leaders and teams across Global and Geography organizations, working cross-functionally to shape and deliver cohesive retail experiences for Sportswear worldwide. They act as a connective leader across teams, helping align vision, priorities, and execution across the retail ecosystem.

The role reports to the Senior Director of Global Visual Merchandising and works in close partnership with Brand Marketing, Merchandising, Retail Marketing, and Design, helping align strategy, storytelling, and execution from concept through consumer experience.

They also collaborate deeply with Geography teams, serving as a key thought partner and functional leader. Through these relationships, they provide clear visual merchandising guidance and gain critical insight into local consumer needs, marketplace dynamics, and competitive trends, ensuring global strategies feel relevant, distinctive, and impactful in every market.

WHAT YOU BRING

• 10+ years of experience in Visual Merchandising, Retail Design, or a related retail leadership role.

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training

• Experience leading visual merchandising strategies at scale across multiple markets or regions.

• Strong background in complex, large-format or multi-channel retail environments.

• Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to influence strategy and drive impact.

• Demonstrated strength in translating vision into compelling, scalable consumer experiences through people leadership and execution.

• Ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 4-6 times per year.
