WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

In this role, you will report directly to the Senior Director of Brand Marketing Korea, who is based in Seoul. You will also be a member of the Korea Marketing Leadership Team. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the Nike Brand Creative function, collaborating with other marketing functions to drive brand impact, fuel consumer demand, and build long-term engagement with our consumers. You will manage agency partnerships and professional services to fulfill the scope of local projects. Additionally, you will work closely with our Korea Marketing leaders and teammates, as well as teams from the Asia-Pacific Latin America (APLA) region and Global Brand Marketing to develop more effective ways to enhance brand impact.

Your key internal partners will include Brand Management, Digital Marketing, Retail Marketing, Integrated Media, Brand Planning & Operations, Sports Marketing, Communications, and Social & Community Impact. Your main external partners will consist of local creative agencies, creative collectives, athletes, influencers, and community leaders involved in our storytelling.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for an Expert, Brand Creative Direction to join our marketing team based in Seoul. To be successful in this role you must have the ambition to be one of the world's most innovative storytellers, value visionary thinking, playing as a team and championing imagination to create an inclusive culture. A passion for sports, a relentless curiosity for the consumer, and a belief in our brand vision are essential to helping us create the future of the Nike brand. Impeccable creative acumen is a must, with the ability to lead across creative disciplines including brand narrative, art direction, production, and events. Experience driving multiple stakeholders, including internal partners along with managing agencies, vendors, production houses and others will also be critical for this role.

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent.

• 8+ years of experience in creative strategy and execution within a youth-oriented consumer brand or a creative/advertising agency.

• Strong oral and written communication skills (in both Korean and English).

• A keen interest or background in brand storytelling and design across various consumer mediums.

• A strong portfolio of creative work, exhibiting your background across creative disciplines.

• Knowledge of narrative, messaging, layout, typography, photography, video, digital and experience production.

• A proven ability to collaborate across internal and external partnerships.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

As our Nike Brand Creative leader in Korea, you will direct the creative strategy and execution for our priority brand concepts and stories, while driving the localization of our brand messaging and experience. Success will be measured based on increased brand strength, consumer engagement and business growth.

  • Define the tone of creativity needed to effectively connect with our consumer while determining the mix of creative disciplines required to answer marketing briefs and deliver on our brand objectives.
  • Seek consumer insights, extend global brand concepts for Korean consumers and develop high-impact ideas for brand media and omni-channel experiences.
  • Run an end-to-end creative process for the marketing team, including reviews to ensure all brand creative meets our global brand standards.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, and make presentations to drive inspiration and collaboration while attending meetings, ideating and communicating direction.
  • Responsible for managing a budget with the Brand Planning team and ensuring that we maximize our resources to deliver on time.
