Role Summary:

The Maintenance & Facilities Manager ensures that the building and its services meet the needs of members, guests, employees, and event participants at all times. The M&F Manager is skilled in maintenance and technical upkeep, reactis quickly to issues, and works proactively and in an organized fashion to support the Director of Operations while ensuring longterm solutions about the facilities needs at the house,. The M&F Manager represents NeueHouse as an ambassador of hospitality and warmth in all interactions with members, visitors, partners, vendors and staff The essential functions of this job are listed below.

Maintenance and Repairs
· Manage upkeep, refurbishments and renovations of house facilities including furniture and front-of-house and back-of-house equipment.
· Perform preventative maintenance and repairs in areas including but not limited to HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and fire/life safety.
· Perform routine inventory checks and preventative maintenance for events-related and member-facing furniture and equipment.
· Provide leadership in project planning by anticipating potential problems and coordinating preventative mitigating actions.
· Determine the scope, specifications and implementation of all maintenance projects.
· Assist NeueHouse members with facilities-related requests. Inform Senior Management immediately when the scope of a maintenance request has been determined beyond the skill-level of the Facilities Department.
· Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and tools.
· Keep Senior Management informed as to the status of ongoing projects in order to stay on schedule and within the Facilities budget.
· Extend related skills and capabilities in support of the NeueHouse corporate office when requested.
House Equipment Movements
· Coordinate and lead furniture and equipment movements in accordance with the needs NeueHouse members and fellow staff.
· Lead the Facilities Department to support event set-ups and breakdowns in a manner which supports optimal event production and revenue generation.
· Extend related skills and capabilities in support of the NeueHouse corporate office when requested.
Vendor Management
· Oversee vendors for facility improvement projects and regular maintenance
· Maintain good working relationships with all house vendors.
· Maintain good working relationship with building management team
· Contain general knowledge of fire safety standards and OSHA compliance.
· Minimum 2 years of relevant prior experience in Project Management, Facilities Management, or Preventative Maintenance.
· Demonstrated knowledge of all related maintenance trades including basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, painting and carpentry.
· Demonstrated skill in the use of basic hand and electric tools and familiarity with parts and materials.
· Must be enthusiastic, hands-on, and energetic.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
· Ability to work flexible hours based on the needs of NeueHouse.
· Strong organizational, problem-solving and time-management skills able to take a project from start to finish with minimal supervision.
· Must have a history of taking leadership roles when assigned team projects, helping and teaching others, and accepting responsibility for actions and results.
· Perform responsibilities with an acute sense of urgency to problem-solve and to meet the needs of others.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Ability to walk, stand, climb, bend, reach over-head, squat and kneel; position requires constant motion.
· Move, lift, carry and push items weighing up to 50-100lbs without assistance.
