ETS Technician II

Yesterday Winchester, VA

Overview

Plan, install, and/or support ETS equipment to include (but not limited to) workstations, mobile devices, printers, cable distribution systems, servers, telephony systems, audio/visual equipment, routers, switches, modems, electrical systems and equipment, and other circuit specific devices associated with local and wide area networks and emergency power systems. Perform basic/routine tasks with limited latitude and narrow scope.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with team members, management, key stakeholders and/or external contacts (vendors, etc.)
  • Diagnose issues through technical analysis of Navy Federal hardware/software; take appropriate action
  • Participates in document operating procedures for installations, configurations and /or administration tasks
  • Formulate and administer equipment maintenance program to include troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of the devices
  • Maintain inventory control documentation on systems and components to ensure updates occur according to schedule
  • Perform installation and configuration of workstations, printers, cables, network routers and switches, servers, etc., as applicable
  • Prepare reports for senior management following installation
  • Develop, test and implement systems and equipment; document results
  • Full life-cycle project management
    • Establish and lead project teams
    • Develop project plan/scope/schedule/cost/communications
    • Procure and/or manage resources/timelines/deadlines/quality
    • Risk, Issue and Change management
    • Ensure successful project implementation
    • Scope of responsibility
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Branch Change Requests, coordinating fulfillment activities to ensure timely delivery of equipment, system updates, and configuration changes.
  • Familiarity with UPS systems and battery replacement procedures, including coordination of branch maintenance activities and adherence to documented outage and restoration processes
  • Experience with eNorm programming and installations for branch TCRs, supporting teller operations and transactional device readiness.
  • Working knowledge of asset management and scanning procedures, ensuring accurate tracking, inventory validation, and compliance with equipment lifecycle standards.
  • Ability to document and apply policies, standards and procedures
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Experience in presenting technical solutions and/or recommendations
  • Familiarity with electronic principles as they relate to diagnosing and troubleshooting IT system issues
  • Working knowledge of technical inter-relationships between software/hardware and desktop/LAN/Host systems
  • Basic research, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Basic skill in diagnosing and troubleshooting issues
  • Basic skill making effective presentations to groups of various sizes
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective organizational, planning and time management skills
  • Experience provisioning, configuring, and maintaining virtual machines to support end users, including resource sizing, access validation, and lifecycle management
  • Familiarity with software deployment, retirement, and ongoing maintenance, ensuring systems remain current, secure, and aligned with operational requirements.
  • Working knowledge of field branch processes and equipment needs, including support for branch technology operations and on site infrastructure requirements.
