EMEA Communications & Social Associate

We're looking for a creative and proactive Communications & Social Associate to join our communications team in London. In this exciting role, you will play a pivotal role in developing our social media strategy and broader external communications across the EMEA region. Reporting to our European communications leadership, you'll build awareness and understanding for Navan and enhance audience engagement across channels.

 

The ideal candidate is a versatile communicator, passionate about digital storytelling, media engagement, and social media community-building. You thrive in collaborative, dynamic environments, remain up-to-date with evolving trends, and have a keen eye for detail and quality content.

 

What You'll Do

  • Create and execute Navan's social media strategy to build awareness for Navan, humanise audience engagement, and drive product consideration.
  • Moderate and proactively engage with social media channels, interacting thoughtfully with customers, media, influencers, and general audiences to enhance community sentiment and brand trust.
  • Monitor social performance analytics, interpreting insights clearly and providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends, digital storytelling methods, new social media technologies, and platform developments, bringing new, innovative social ideas for improvement.
  • Work closely with the Communications team to proactively identify storytelling opportunities, support media outreach, and position Navan as a leader in the travel management and expense industries.
  • Support the creation of written content such as press releases, blogs, briefing documents, executive articles, data-driven stories, opinion pieces, and other communication materials.
  • Contribute to competitive tracking, monitoring media coverage, industry insights, and trends analysis that help inform and enhance our communication strategies.
  • Help coordinate submissions for awards and speaking opportunities to build the visibility and thought leadership of our executives and brand.

 

What We're Looking For

  • Approx. 2-4 years of relevant experience in communications, PR, or social media coordination roles, either in-house or in an agency, and ideally working with B2B technology, high-growth startups, or fintech/travel sectors (open to relevant backgrounds).
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, comfortable developing content tailored to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity and hands-on experience with digital and social platforms, scheduling tools (e.g., Sprinklr, Hootsuite), and basic performance analytics tools.
  • Highly organized and proactive multitasker; comfortable juggling multiple projects and collaborating closely with different stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort with analyzing data and reporting outcomes clearly to inform ongoing strategic planning.
  • Someone looking to work on a global team and learn across communications domains.
