Profile Description
We're seeking someone to join our Enterprise Technology team as a Windows Endpoint Hardware Engineer, in Workforce Technology & Services. The End User Endpoint and Tooling Team is committed to delivering an enterprise class Windows Desktop Platform to the firm. The team is responsible for all aspects of the design, configuration and integration of Windows Desktop and Laptop endpoints, including hardware, driver and firmware management.
We are looking for a person to be able to contribute to many of the on-going initiatives in some of these areas and to own engineering and operational tasks from beginning to end. The candidate will have a strong technical foundation, a strategic mind-set, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate within a globally distributed team.

This is Director position that manages and optimizes the technical environment and end-user experience across various workplace technologies for end-users, ensuring seamless operations and user satisfaction across the organization.

What you'll do in the role:
> Ensure that the solutions we develop meet the necessary security, supportability, and performance requirements identified by our stakeholders, regulators, and the organization at large.
> Ensure that we meet the business's expectations of high availability, performance, and overall user experience.
> Sustain existing systems by providing level 3 support to help investigate and identify root cause for escalated issues.
> Create, review, maintain and disseminate knowledge through documentation and demonstrations of the technologies, tools, and methodologies that are used to support them.
> Dissemination of knowledge amongst peers and partnering support teams.
What you'll bring to the role:
> At least 6 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
> Knowledge in BIOS hardening and management across multi-vendor platforms, including:
> Implementing BIOS security policies and certificate-based protections.
> Automated password rotation and secure credential storage using enterprise vaults (e.g., Azure Key Vault, CyberArk).
> Hands-on experience in driver packaging and deployment, including:
> Creation and management of WIM-format driver packages for efficient OS deployment.
> Use of automated tools for packaging and updating drivers.

> Integration with SCCM task sequences and troubleshooting deployment failures in complex environments.
> Understanding of Modern Driver Management, covering:
> Microsoft's DCH driver model, UWP applications, and Hardware Support Apps (HSAs).
> Experience scripting automated deployment of HSAs and UWP apps in enterprise environments.
> Ability to handle offline installation scenarios and ConfigMgr integration for modern drivers.
> Advanced PowerShell automation for BIOS and driver lifecycle management, including:
> JSON-driven configuration for dynamic deployments across multiple hardware models.
> Familiar with error-handling, verbose logging and self-driven tests.
> Comprehensive knowledge of enterprise hardware certification workflows, including:
> Building checkout scripts for driver validation.
> Biometric setup and validation for Windows Hello (fingerprint and facial recognition).
> Performance benchmarking with Pass mark and WPF rendering tests (e.g., Beetle Mania).
> Security hardening checks (Secure Boot, DMA protection, BitLocker, VBS).
> Practical experience in WinPE boot image engineering, including:
> Customizing boot. Wim with required network/storage drivers.
> Injecting drivers and prestart scripts for OSD task sequences.
> Applying CVE patches and troubleshooting deployment failures using SCCM logs and ADK utilities.
> Hands-on experience with SCCM/SDM packaging and compliance, such as:
> Creating BIOS and driver packages with detection logic based on registry keys and driver versions.
> Implementing compliance baselines for firmware and driver updates.
> Automating deployment pipelines for multi-vendor environments (HP, Lenovo, Dell).
> Strong documentation and collaboration skills:
> Provide technical leadership by designing and delivering advanced training programs for engineering teams and support staff, including hands-on workshops, code reviews, and architecture deep-dives.
> Act as a subject matter expert for BIOS security, driver lifecycle automation, and modern endpoint management, ensuring adoption of enterprise standards and cutting-edge practices across global teams.
> Strong troubleshooting mindset (event logs, SysInternals, memory dumps).
> Experience automating workflows and enabling self-service capabilities.
> Understanding of Agile principles and how to apply them in enterprise environments.
> Familiarity with infrastructure systems, including experience with Jira for tracking and collaboration.
> Modern observability stack knowledge (e.g., telemetry, metrics, logging, distributed tracing).
> DevOps knowledge, including pipeline automation and integration with enterprise deployment tools.
> Solid understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes and how they intersect with endpoint engineering and operational workflows.
> Ability to work across development and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery and monitoring of endpoint solutions.
