Morgan Stanley Global Capital Markets (GCM) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated professional to join its Fixed Income Derivative Solutions team in Hong Kong. This is a unique opportunity to originate and execute customized derivative solutions for corporate and institutional clients across Greater China, including Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. GCM serves as the strategic bridge between Investment Banking and Sales & Trading, combining traditional capital markets expertise with innovative financing and risk management solutions. The team advises clients on complex transactions across a broad range of products to deliver bespoke capital structure and risk management strategies in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

As part of the GCM platform, the Derivative Solutions Sales team focuses on private-side risk management solutions across interest rates, foreign exchange, commodities, and cash management products.

The team partners closely with Investment Banking, Fixed Income Sales & Trading, Debt Capital Markets, Leveraged Finance, Securitized Products, and Equity Capital Markets to provide comprehensive solutions to a diverse client base, including financial institutions, corporates, and private equity firms.

This role offers the opportunity to leverage Morgan Stanley's leading global capital markets franchise, develop customized derivative solutions across a broad product spectrum, and engage extensively with senior client decision-makers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Originate and develop derivative-based risk management solutions for clients across Greater China, helping them manage market risks associated with financing transactions, M&A activity, strategic events, and broader treasury objectives.
  • Structure, market, and execute transactions across foreign exchange, interest rate, and commodity derivatives, as well as cash management solutions.
  • Serve as a primary and secondary coverage banker for key client relationships, proactively identifying opportunities and driving business growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate, financial institution, and private equity clients, while deepening engagement across Morgan Stanley's platform.
  • Collaborate closely with internal partners across Investment Banking, Debt Capital Markets, Leveraged Finance, Fixed Income, and other product groups to deliver integrated client solutions.

Qualifications
  • 10 to 12 years of relevant experience in derivatives sales, structuring, and advisory, ideally at the Senior Vice President or Executive Director level.
  • Strong technical expertise in derivatives and structured products, particularly in foreign exchange and interest rate markets.
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to senior stakeholders.
  • Able to bring in new relationships and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Highly entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and results-oriented, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
