What you'll do in the role:
Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC is seeking a Vice President, Banking in San Francisco, CA to work with regional and international clients on a wide range of complex transactions including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, shareholder relations, recapitalizations, and defenses against unsolicited takeover attempts, strategic advisory assignments and executions of public and private equity capital markets transactions. Deliver high quality financial advice to clients. Assume responsibility for the various phases of project and transaction execution, new business development, and overall growth of the team. Responsible for drafting situation analyses, detailed and customized pitch materials, investor and management presentations, and financial analyses.
What you'll bring to the role:
-Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business, Financial Mathematics, or a related quantitative field of study.
-Requires five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years as an Associate, Analyst, or a closely related occupation.
-Requires five (5) years of experience with the following skills:
- investment banking including complex transactions across mergers and acquisitions, and various healthcare sectors;
- synthesizing large amounts of data and developing solutions;
- understanding financial, legal, and reputational risks facing large integrated investment banks;
- training junior bankers;
- Excel modelling and valuation;
- PowerPoint;
- financial database platforms including Bloomberg, FactSet, Capital IQ, and Dealogic; and
- financial modeling including Discounted Cash Flow analysis, Three Financial Statements, Accretion and Dilution, and leveraged buyout.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $275,000 and $275,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
