Department Profile
Institutional Securities (ISG) provides products and services to corporations, governments, financial institutions and ultra-high net worth clients. Investment banking services consist of capital raising and financial advisory services, including underwriting of debt, equity and other securities, and advice on mergers and acquisitions, restructurings and project finance.
Our Equity and Fixed Income businesses include sales, financing, prime brokerage, market-making, Asia wealth management and certain business-related investments. Lending activities include originating corporate loans and commercial real estate loans, providing secured lending facilities, and extending securities-based and other financing to customers. Other activities include research.
We are the Non-Financial (NFR) group within the Institutional Securities Group (ISG) management function. NFR is responsible for managing several non-financial risks across ISG, including but not limited to Compliance, Supervision, Conduct, Client and Product Risk. As an in-business risk management team, we partner with our ISG business stakeholders, as well as the technology groups and 2nd line control functions to understand business needs and their associated risks, execute on practical solutions, and maintain a global governance, monitoring, communication, and awareness strategy that underscores a culture of control excellence. Our team has a global presence with members located in New York, London, Mumbai, and Hong Kong.
Primary Responsibilities
- Liaise with business users across locations to understand/ document business requirements, detail the use cases & propose solution/ options for automation
- Design solutions for attended / unattended bots which are flexible to incorporate changes and are scalable
- Design, Develop, Test & Deploy the process automations using RPA tools like UiPath & other automation toolkits available at Morgan Stanley
- Work with multiple stakeholders for prioritization and tracking of requirements
- Call out risks & issues proactively, report progress against the plan & track associated project benefits
- Ability to wear multiple hats including but not limited to Business Analyst, Developer, Project Manager, Tester & Business User playing an Individual Contributor role.
- Monitors and measures the effectiveness of digital bots and creates reports on impact of the robotic solution.
- Ensures that RPA processes are designed in accordance with standard RPA design principles and conventions.

Skills required (essential)
- B Tech/ MCA/ M Tech with relevant work experience in finance industry
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience with software development and RPA technologies
- In-depth knowledge of RPA Life Cycle, UiPath REFramework, Orchestrator, Studio, StudioX, Task Capture, Workflow Analyzer, Custom Activities, Document understanding, AI fabric etc.
- UiPath Advance Developer Certification
- Understands data structures and follows coding best practices, e.g. naming conventions, error handling, logging, and commenting.
- Demonstrated experience in all phases of the RPA life cycle - requirements capture, definition & solution design, architecture design, build, configuration, testing and operational transition
- Familiarity with source control systems (Git/Stash/Perforce) and continuous build (Jenkins)
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum Methodology and continuous integration / deployment tools
- Familiarity with RPA best practices such as PDD/ SDD, Unit Test Cases, Code Quality, Development Standards etc.
- Excellent written, verbal communication and organizational capabilities
- Ability to take ownership & effectively manage multiple assignments and priorities
- Ability to communicate effectively and confidently across all levels
- Ability to handle pressure, effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks with high level of accuracy
- A good team player
