Global Markets Group is the offshoring arm of Morgan Stanley's Sales & Trading businesses in India. It covers functions across IED ranging from those associated with sales, trading, analytics, strats to risk management.

Primary Responsibilities

The role is based out of Mumbai and requires working with the EMEA Transaction Management Group during London hours in relation to the Structured Products and ETP (Exchange Traded Products) businesses.

This role sits at the intersection of governance, controls, reporting, and business enablement, owning critical verification processes, producing senior management insights, driving automation, and partnering with Sales, Trading, Legal, Risk, Finance, COO and Operations.

Responsibilities for this role would involve:

Trade Oversight

  • Oversee and coordinate the end-to-end settlement, listing, and reporting processes for structured products, including notes, certificates, and warrants, and ETP ensuring timely and accurate trade capture and settlement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, trading, operations) and external stakeholders to ensure all trades are matched, settled, and reported in accordance with established procedures and regulatory requirements.

Reporting, Analytics & Documentation
  • Prepare and deliver regular and ad hoc reports, metrics, and analytics to support business decision-making and regulatory obligations.
  • Assist with the review and maintenance of documentation related to structured products and exchange-traded products (ETPs), including support for corporate actions and similar events.
  • Maintain electronic trade documents and deal folders to support audit and compliance requirements.

Quality Assurance & Controls
  • Conduct periodic reviews and quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy and compliance across business processes.
  • Support the drafting, maintenance, and continuous improvement of internal procedures and knowledge resources.

Stakeholder Engagement & Issue Resolution
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate effective business operations and provide support in resolving trade breaks, reconciliation issues, document discrepancies, invoice processing, and other ad hoc requests.
  • Communicate updates and outcomes to relevant parties, ensuring alignment and transparency across teams.

Process Improvement & Automation
  • Lead and participate in initiatives to automate processes and optimize workflows, leveraging technology tools such as Excel, VBA, and Python to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and contribute to the implementation of efficiency initiatives.
  • Remain responsive to changes in business processes, technology, and regulatory requirements, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to ongoing professional development.


Skills required (essential)
  • Experience in Derivatives/ Structured Products and/or Exchange Traded Products (not ETF business though)
  • In-depth understanding of equity or other asset-linked structured notes, warrants, certificates, ETP (Exchange Traded Products), trade lifecycles, and product mechanics will be preferred.
  • Candidates must have worked in a fast-paced environment and be able to work to tight deadlines.
  • Advance knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint skills is compulsory. VBA and Python preferred
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, with the ability to manage internal and external relationships effectively
  • Proficiency in English is a must, both verbal and written.
  • High degree of attention to detail.
  • Organized, pro-active, ability to multi-task and work efficiently, detail-oriented, and self-sufficient.
  • MBA / CA with 5 - 6 years of experience.
