Tax Operations_Associate_Core Services
We're seeking someone to join our team as an Associate_Tax Operations in Ops Risk and Regulatory Control to support the management of operational tax risk within the Firm. You will work closely with Operations groups, the Corporate Tax Division, and Business Units, primarily focusing on operational tax processes for the firm, and will have opportunities to work on global projects and develop expertise in cross-border transactions, and international tax operations.
In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is an Associate level position level position within the Core Services, which is responsible for performing and managing product-agnostic and centralized operational services across several businesses and products.

What you'll do in the role: -
- Execute processes/functions and/or support process management and project efforts, leveraging knowledge of the systems, markets and instruments that influence the team.
- Recognize risk in day-to-day processes to draw out the key issues and contribute to process improvements.
- Build relationships within team and internal stakeholders, sharing knowledge to contribute to team output.
- Participate in projects and initiatives, aiding in solution formulation with a focus on timely execution.
- Support operational and business unit tax activities related to operational taxes, including assisting with tax processing.
- Analyze and report on the impact of tax changes and new business proposals; communicate findings to senior management and global teams.
- Collaborate with Corporate Tax, Business Units and other Operations teams globally to implement operational tax processes for the firm.
- Document operational tax requirements, processes, policies, and procedures to ensure tax compliance.
- Contribute to process automation initiatives using platforms such as Power BI, UI Path, Alteryx, or Gen AI.
- Collaborate effectively across geographical and functional boundaries, demonstrating strong relationship skills.

What you'll bring to the role: -
- Ability to establish clear goals and priorities and address non-standard issues within area of expertise with minimal guidance and supervision.
- Subject matter expertise in business area supported, client requirements, and ability to ensure control is not compromised to comply with client requests.
- Culture carrier across Operations, embracing the Firm's core values.
- At least 2 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field, preferrable.
- Good level of understanding and hands-on experience in operational processes.
- Basic level of understanding of operational taxes (transactional tax, withholding tax, capital gains tax, and operational tax reporting) and their implications for financial institutions.
- Strong risk mindset.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Experience with automation tools (Power BI, UI Path, Alteryx, Gen AI) preferred.
- Motivated, self-driven, and able to manage changing priorities and deadlines.
