Systems Analyst - Director
We are seeking a Systems Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analyzing system and technical requirements, designing solutions, and supporting the implementation of technology systems.

This is a Cloud & Infrastructure Engineering III position at the Director level, which is part of the job family responsible for managing and optimizing technical infrastructure and ensuring the seamless operation of IT systems to support business needs effectively.

Workforce Technology and Services (WTS) provides the Firm's workforce with technology, service, and capabilities required to meet the needs of colleagues, partners, and clients. The organization is responsible for enabling our workforce, driving technology platform integration, and supporting the Firm's infrastructure.
Job Description
The candidate will be working with Web, cloud and mobile, on prem based applications/solutions, which will require onboarding, modifications as well as testing. You will work closely with developers, business users, and project managers to implement system improvements, automate manual processes, enhance processes, troubleshoot system issues. Identify and communicate feature enhancements to vendors and create technical specifications.
What you'll do in the role:
- Analyze and document business processes, make improvements to workflows or systems.
- Make updates to vendor applications and carry out deployments to production.
- Ability to analyze business processes, identify gaps, evaluate system inefficiencies, and propose effective solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feature enhancements and articulate to developers and vendors.
- Work with vendors to evaluate System architectures and advice on solutions.
- Updating and maintaining web-based SaaS applications, on prem solutions, as well as IoT/OT hardware.
- Support teams with rollouts, testing, and configuration of device updates.
- Model and manage telemetry pipelines into SQL/Power BI/ADX, establishing data quality, lineage, and retention for time-series analytics.
- Act as IT System owner for solutions
- Submit Security Architecture Designs for Reviews.
- Assist in data analysis, data profiling, mapping, and integration activities.
- Reviewing Jira tickets created to resolve user issues or feature enhancements.
- Write scripts to support deployments or to query datasets.
- Run lab validation of protocols (e.g. HTTPs, MQTT), connectivity, updates, and security controls prior to production deployment including configuration and validation using packet capture.
- Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams whether this is Networks, Network Security, Security Architecture, Corporate Services etc.
- Embed security by design (IEC-62443 patterns, network zoning/DMZ, 802.1X/SDA) and partner with Cyber/Risk to enforce Zero-Trust controls for devices and services
- Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for process and support improvements.
- Support with Quarterly Business Reviews around support maintenance etc.
- Prepare technical documentation and training materials, and conduct training sessions
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Python or Shell to streamline operations.
What you'll bring to the role:
- 7+ years' experience as a Systems Analyst, or similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of IT systems, system architecture, APIs, data flows, and technical environments.
- Ability to work on Windows and Linux.
- Hands on hardware maintenance experience.
- Strong understanding of building management systems and IoT/OT devices.
- A good understanding of web-based applications and deployment processes. (Strong understanding of Cloud and associated technologies)
- Experience with requirements gathering and documentation.
- Proficiency in tools such as Excel, JIRA & SQL etc.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is preferred.
- Experience with data and data analysis
Desired Skills
- Experience with data analysis tools (SQL, Tableau, Power BI) is desirable.
- Understanding web applications and smart building technologies is a plus.
- Familiarity with scripting or prototyping.
- Ability to create traceability matrices and support testing efforts.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $120,000 and $165,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
