Morgan Stanley Wealth Management provides a range of wealth management products and services for individuals, businesses, and institutions. These services include brokerage and investment advisory, financial and wealth planning, credit and lending, cash management, annuities and insurance, retirement, and trust.

This position will be a member of Business Management and Transformation (BMAT). BMAT provides business management support across multiple areas People/Workforce Management, Financial Management, Change Management, Transformation, and PMO for our ETRADE and Client Segment Solutions teams within Wealth Management.

This position will work closely with our channel partners in Emerging Wealth Solutions (EWS), ETRADE Premium Services (ETPS), and Path to Advice to drive service optimization utilizing the products, services, and digital tools available across Morgan Stanley Wealth Management.

Primary Responsibilities

This role will have responsibilities across multiple channels supported by BMAT with a focus on program management, analysis, and implementation/execution. This role will support the delivery of strategic change initiatives by performing business analysis, coordinating project execution, and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders (Service, Operations, Technology, Risk/Compliance, and other business teams). This role focuses on translating business needs into clearly defined requirements, managing delivery artifacts, and ensuring smooth go-live and adoption.

Key responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following:

  • Support end-to-end project lifecycle activities for assigned workstreams: scope definition, planning, scheduling, dependency tracking, and closure documentation.
  • Maintain core project artifacts (workplans, RAID logs, action trackers, key decisions, and governance documentation) in alignment with program governance standards.
  • Coordinate working sessions across stakeholders; proactively surface risks/issues and propose mitigation options; escalate decisions appropriately.
  • Conduct detailed business analysis to identify best practices, improve processing, mitigate risk, define current state and future state opportunities
  • Define business requirements and convey business needs to our business and technology stakeholders
  • Provide concise status updates to PM/Program leadership and senior stakeholders as required (progress, risks, decisions needed, and next steps).
  • Ensure accurate and consistent reporting of activity, across all governance forums outside of direct control

Skills Required:
  • Strong presentation skills, including ability to create polished PowerPoint presentations for various levels of management
  • Proven ability to manage delivery/execution of a wide range of tasks and initiatives
  • Proven experience developing partnerships with and successfully coordinating across various Business, Technology, Operations and Control partners and stakeholders
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams where there is no direct reporting chain
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, ability to interact at all levels of the organization and tailor messages appropriately
  • Independent self-starter who can manage multiple activities to aggressive deadlines
  • Eagerness to learn the business and understand detailed requirements
  • Experience working with cross functional teams, including Service, Operations, Technology, Legal, Risk and Compliance.
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, Visio, and SharePoint
  • Experience in Service, Operations, and knowledge of call centers/IVR/telephony a plus


Qualifications:
  • BS/BA degree required. Advanced degrees a plus.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience with process improvement, business analysis, product management, and/or project management
  • Experience with Agile and/or SDLC delivery models; familiarity with governance frameworks and PMO standards (documentation, stage gates, change control).
  • Professional experience in the financial services industry, Wealth Management, FinTech, or management consulting

Illinois: Salary range for the position: $90,000 and $130,000 per year. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. New York: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $90,000 and $130,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
